I tired honestly to give your thread a fair read but it's just bad. I have no clue what comparisons you are trying to make between nazi's and troons, and somehow the cult thing, i dont know. I respect trying to correlate troon activities to umberto eco's thoughts on fascism but I don't really think it works at all.
Would you be willing to give the best examples of eco's fascism checklist that you feel matches troon behaviour? Its not that I disagree but I feel that you are trying to make loose comparisons that are not present.
Okay. The examples that I can give, are,
Point one is as strong as it gets, with their obsession with defining modern gender roles as a distinct psychosis of western conservatives, and using various kinds of gender roles that were themselves oppressive of gender nonconforming or gay people, as an example of how their ideology is necessary to better express the human condition.
I know in theory that they're doing a point six, but I can't take a deeper look at how this is meaningfully heinous. Eco probably meant for us to fill the unwritten part with Leninist ideas.
Point eight is a free space on the politisperg bingo.
Once you ignore the Freudian bullshit, I think that there is some merit to twelve's idea that subcultures brainwash young men by repelling them away from women, keeping them permanently sexually frustrated, and I think that use of incorrect sexual reliefs (pornography, fetish art, homosexuality) is an under-rated way of achieving that. Political lesbianism might be the same trick for a different sex. If we go back to the "you own a gun? now I'm thinking about your penis" part, you can notice that their sexual escapism also has elements of super-normal violence. The interest in women that are macho or "powerful", a masculine trait that doesn't need a masculine appearance, can be a way of avoiding emasculation without identifying with the male form.
Thirteen is an very accurate description of progressive movements in the present day, with the stipulation that they play with multiple qualitative populisms besides "our democracy", including lobbies for trans people or other minorities that insist they trump over the quantities of others.
Naturally, they say that every populist movement is doing this. But for their individual ethics, you can see how their reframing of their very existence as a constant fight (which is nine) for trans rights leads each of them to force eachother into sacrificing their individual health for the health of the trans movement itself.
Fourteen, you know, I know, we all know.
