I remember having problems with having others check my web development work on github, because they used the version of an app that used MAIN instead of MASTER directory. Mine was master as default, and no one could figure out why my shit only worked on one other persons computer. We had the same version, not the updated woke version.

a) Without further information I'm inclined to think they're retarded if they can't diagnose that error (I've had to do it to myself after forgetting I still use "master") and b) "master" to "main" was some of the dumbest shit ever and, if you think about how important software (and software errors) can be and how widespread Git and GitHub are in this world, I would be 0% surprised if said change resulted in a sort of distributed Therac-25 incident, with an actual death toll attached to it, even if the individual probability of one or more deaths associated with each of doubtless millions of changes was minuscule. Which would then put it in line with another instance of post-Ascension of Our Holy Floyd faggotry, the former CHAZ/CHOP of Seattle, WA.
