Words & Phrases DSP Has Invented or Misuses - DSP'isms that make you say "HUUUHN?!?"

He misuses the term "option select" in Street Fighter. He thinks it's when a move has different properties depending on what you input (ie, Cammys Hooligan Combination which can become a command throw, an overhead attack, or a slide attack). It's actually an advance tactic where in certain situations you input a specific set of inputs, and depending on what your opponent does, the most beneficial input will take priority and be performed. It's far beyond Phils understanding of fighting games.
Kind of ironic that he has no idea what an option select is considering how much he played SFIV. SFIV is basically Option Select: The Game, one exists for just about every situation you encounter.

"He self felted himself", or once, "he auto-self-felted himself". Mouthdrooler, "adjourn the stream". He was bullied into not saying "curated" anymore, but that was a notorious one.
Not limited to DSP, but the caveman speak using the words "to where" as a crutch gets on my nerves. For example, "Ubisoft made it to where you can't progress in this game", instead of "Ubisoft doesn't allow you progress in this game" etc

This is the correct American pronunciation, am I being gaslit?

I have learnt that yanks pronounce this word very differently to UK/Aus/NZ speakers. I have only ever heard it pronouced as 'res-spite' like to spite someone, never as 'res-spit'.
Thats true I pronounce it like res pit. British english is divergent. They say american english more closely resembles british english in the olden days.

Im from CT same as Phil so underpronouncing consonants is definitely something ive done too. I've shortened probably to prolly, but theres other examples too. I also pronounce content the same way as him. But it basically comes down to hating on our accent. If he was from Rhode Island or some place with another dialect these threads would be very filled with making fun of those intricacies.

I love how goofy this guy can be

Not really a misuse, but odd and hilarious to me.

In this video he says: "...there's entertaining content to be made that people want to digest..."

In regards to content, I think you'd normally use "consume", however the reason why it's funny to me, is because this is such a known, robust and tangy buzzword in DSP's vocabulary, that other people used it for a Zillow review on his address.

Brought up in general by @DerichLovesSSI and @johnkimble123 , this belongs here. DSP calls his opponent an "infidel" after a match:

I believe he wanted to say "inferior" instead, because afterwards he also calls the other person an "inferior peasant", although he also struggled with "peasant" at first, and was about to say "pleasant".

Phil referred to Dragon Ball Sparking Zero as an “RPG puzzle game” today (because he seems to think there’s only 1 solution to each story fight) before later calling it a “party masher” instead.
His bitching of "it's not like a fighting game at all!" is just funny to me. DBSZ is as much of a fighting game as wwec is. He's just pissy because he doesn't understand the basics.

One thing he says (and several others do, but nowhere near as often) is when he says "he self-*actioned* himself... " It's another one of those phrases from the department of the redundancy department he spews all too often.
