And he uses it so self-evident, as if everyone on the internet is well aware of this special time of the year, apparently when big publishers create 1 or 2 more games than usual. Kahman guys, we have to prepare for the magical Hardcore Gaming Season, I have to rush the game, gimme money.
This would actually be a good question for Dave, so if anyone has spare shekels on hand, please ask him politely what this "Hardcore Gaming Season" is supposed to be.
I believe he means in part what I've heard others call 'Broke-tober'. This referring to the usually large number of expensive AAA titles that have traditionally started releasing in October. For D$P, however, it believe it means the time of year before he started streaming and he used to have to buckle down and 'hardcore' grind out as many games as possible so he could get all those tasty 'Day One Release' and subsequent playlist views on the YouTubes. Now, in the confines of his 6hr+/- six day a week streaming schedule and inability to play any game off-stream ( aside from when after being questioned he admitted to grinding souls off-stream in DS so he could more easily cheese the game by having a health bar that stretched halfway across the screen), D$P has been picking and choosing which games he plays and which ones he skips.
