Words & Phrases DSP Has Invented or Misuses - DSP'isms that make you say "HUUUHN?!?"

"Lucid Dreaming"

Real World: When you're aware you're dreaming while asleep. Often comes with the ability to shape and manipulate the dream. Super fun, mostly.

DSP World: When you wake up and see "ghosts and things" in your bedroom. Not fun at all.
Alottapeepul make this mistake. There was even a song a few years ago called "Lucid Dreams" that made this very mistake. Of course, the guy that made that song wasn't a true and hanest valedictorian, so he's just a stupid morhan, unlike Phil.

Turns out the only shadow Phil saw was when Twitch "shadowbanned" him.

"negate"

Phil claims that if he has one really pahsitive stream and then a slow one, the slow stream "negates" the contributions he received during the good stream. That makes no sense. The only way one stream could negate another is if he earned a negative amount.

Besides that, if you want to use Phil's definition of the word, it would be just as valid to say that the good stream negates the bad stream as it would be to say that the bad stream negates the good one.

It sounds like something he'd say to try and emotionally manipulate his wheelchairs when you think about. He says it to make it seem like even if he didn't actually make negative income, or it was far less then previous streams, if he didn't technically "reach the goal" so to speak or it was the worst performing stream out of the lot, then that automatically puts himself in a bad mood and his day is ruined just because he didn't make as much money on these previous stream he did a few days before.

As you said, that's not really the correct way he uses the word, he's framing it in an attempt to conjure up an excuse for his poor attitude and his desire to reach the tips goal.

If you use pig logic, that 200 dollars is already gone because he already spent it on gacha pulls, so technically that stream is negated. Sound good?

What his use of the word "being honest/ I need to be honest/just being honest" - this is a verbal give away that he's about to say something he knows is shameful, like begging, or when he's bullied a viewer.

He covers whatever vile thing he said or did with the facade of honesty - that he's such an honest person that what he's doing is getting this opinion off his chest.

His use of the word "honest" as a cover for something he himself knows to be shameful is a really strong pattern once you're alert to it, and suggests a level of insight, which is kind of interesting.

This kind of correlates with "sound good?" And "fair enough?" Like hes trying to coax something

This is the equivalent of "*looks around* now I'm not racist, but..."
