Letting that double-teaming sublex on Mitrovic go without a penalty was bullshit for sure.

What's the point of the videojudges if they don't do anything in a situation like that?

To be fair I saw that game. The first half, Serbia deserved to go at least 2-0 up but other than Mitrovic at the 5th minute couldn't get it in despite being all over the Swiss defence. In the second half, after the first Swiss goal from long range (which was legit an impressive shot), the Serbs seemed to go to pieces.

I will say though that the double suplex on that Serbian striker was a screamingly obvious penalty though. VAR has been extremely inconsistent.
 
Damn, that ref was shit. Two Swiss players hold a player down and all you get is pretty much a shrug. Serbia could still get out of the group, but they'd need a win against Brazil and that's going to be tough.

Tomorrow's games:
Belgium-Tunisia
South Korea-Mexico
Germany-Sweden

First game seems a clear win for Belgium. They're the strongest team in their group and I feel they have it in the bag. South Korea probably doesn't have a chance against Mexico, but we'll see if the latter can get past a parked bus. Last game is crucial for Germany, they have to win or they're really fucked. I hear Hummels injured his neck so he's out for the game, but I hope Jogi took the issues they had last time to heart and doesn't field more or less the same shit (meaning Khedira. And puts Reus and Brandt in from the start or at least uses the subs earlier).
 
I'm not so sure about the first match. Belgium should be the favourite for sure, but they can be a bit inconsistent, and I thought Tunisia looked really good against England. I can see Tunisia stealing a point here in a 0-0 or 1-1 match.

Mexico should have it in the bag though, and probably Germany. If Sweden can hold out for the first half though, maybe Germany starts to get spooked by the preassure? It's unthinkable for them to miss playoff and they might get jitters if they start to feel that's a real possibility.

I also forgot to mention: Yes, the ref was utter shit but it doesn't excuse why everyone and their mother of the Serb team was around the Swiss goal and why no one gave a single fuck about that one uncovered and lonely Albanian dude who inevitably scored once he got the ball. What surprised me is that they got a German ref for a game involving Switzerland. Usually FIFA has the good sense to have several degrees of national separation when selecting refs.

I used it for the sake of distinction as the Red Star fans are also refereed as gypsies.
 
Nigeria 2 - 0 Iceland

I'm real disappointed that the more competent team has gone and shite the bed here. Definitely not helping matters thanks to this? Argentina (a team that deserves elimination for such lousy playing, IMHO - even if I was rooting for them earlier on, but I see the truth for what it is and it hurts dearly for me!) still has a chance to exit Group Stage now. I hope that doesn't happen and Iceland can get their shit together, but the only way they're getting out is if they win their next game and Nigeria shites it on theirs. Cheers to Croatia on making it out, however - too bad Knockouts is as far as they'll go (TRUTH).

Brazil 2 - 0 Costa Rica

Early on, Brazil played pretty sloppy, which is the only reason CRC gave them any trouble early on... As much as I would love to see Brazil lose - they're Brazil. NOTHING is stopping them from taking this group and maybe even the cup itself, honestly - if them getting their shit together and just dominating this whole game, as well as bringing it home by the very end, is any indication. Just don't rely on Neymar Jr. TOO MUCH and you should be fine, IMHO.

And with that, good riddance to you, Costa Rica - you're not CRC 2014, so get outta here and don't come back. You're NOT cut out for the World Cup if you can't pose a challenge to teams like this in any real sense - and that's fucking TRUTH.

Serbia 1 - 2 Switzerland

This group in particular really was a BS group - Brazil (especially) and Switzerland all the way and two nobodies to gain 3 PTS. (Serbia, CRC) off of. Brazil vs. Switzerland was the most interesting match in this group, overall - this match was nothing spectacular, either, once the Swiss woke up and reminded Serbia just who the real Runners-Up are around here (Sorry, mates - Brazil already won this shit, despite being nowhere near their best here so far - again, fucking TRUTH.).

On-topic: Looks like I gave Tunisia too much credit They're getting mauled by Belgium at the moment. Not a good worldcup for arabs this one. (not that they usually do well, but they had better teams than usual this time)

Belgium looking legitimately more impressive as a team than Brazil, Germany, or Argentina. Not indestructible though.

Another day, another Kebab successfully removed from the grill. Not a bad fight, but this outcome was inevitable - Belgium is just that kickass at this hot shite. Belgium is really proving to be to me what I wished Netherlands 2018 was, honestly.

In fact, it would be awesome if such m8s dominated this ducking cup - unlike Germany, Brazil, and Argentina, they more than deserve to any of those overrated (and rather worthless, in Argentina's case.) motherfuckers, of you ask me.
