The biggest tournament in football is kicking off on Thursday, and even though football is shit, the Euros thread was pretty fun.

This tournament could be entertaining too considering it's in Russia and the Russian Ultras have promised to kick some shit in.
 
I will enjoy the salt when England gets knocked out in the second round by Poland or some dumb shit
 
The USA really fucked up and didn't qualify, but I'm happy to say that this young man will make US Soccer great in 2026.

I only care about sports where people definitely (or at least possibly) will punch each other.

I know it happens in "futabaole", but I'd rather just watch UFC or hockey.

However, watching the fans go apeshit and trample each other is fun.
 
I will only really be satisfied if Germany gets knocked out in group stages, or Brazil - just to keep things interesting. Too bad neither will happen and that's who will likely be at the Final - making this the worst WC ever, IMHO.

I hope SOMETHING interesting happens here - it really sucks that the US were far too cowardly to show up and show Russia who's boss. THAT would have made for some decent entertainment. Then again, US would have only gone as far as Knockout stages, if they're lucky, anyway. Not taking the craft seriously definitely has something to do with it.

What's the problem with seeing Germany v Brazil in the final, they're the world's best teams? The whole point of this is to showcase the best national teams playing each other.
The US got knocked out in qualifiers.

The US sucking at it is a given, since like I said, we don't take the craft seriously enough, if at all. Plus, for some reason, we're scared of going to Ruissa because of some commie BS or whatnot, which sounds more like a BS copout I than anything else, which is even sadder; FACT.

Getting back on target, however, I just think GER vs. BRZ would be a rather boring final. One that I know GER WOULD CLEAN up shop at, too.

Would you prefer some crazy shit like Senegal winning? Maybe Germany would clean up, maybe not, and I'm not saying it because I have money on Brazil winning. They're a solid team with a winning tradition.

EDIT: I also have money on some random hot European chick getting a modeling contract after appearing on TV, and then promptly losing it after saying something exceptional.

Italy, Netherlands, and Chile all didn't qualify as well...I guess they don't take the sport seriously? Sometimes shit just happens, and I'm a pretty big soccer sperg.

Anyway, I want France to win now since their full-strength WC squad couldn't beat an inexperienced U.S. who were using players with very few caps. It'd be cool if that team got a retroactive result against the world champions.


I also want Mexico to fail horribly too. Hope they're gone in the first round.
