World of Warcraft Rank 1 Player Reckful Commits Suicide

So he asked her to marry him then killed himself?

Did she turn him down? Or did people troll in response? The later tweets call her his ex-girlfriend, is that references to his death, or had they broken up already?

Did he just realize how cringe his asking her to marry him over twitter was and that pushed him over the edge? Is this the first confirmed instance of terminal cringe?
My theory is that he felt really alone - this proposal was an act of desperation before making the decision to off himself, fully aware that she would say no.
No one knows, I would guess that from what we have to work with. He was going crazy and out of a desperation threw the last bit of feelings he had at someone who he still cared for, but hadn't kept in touch with. Kind of a "last words of a dead man" sorta deal. He already knew his fate, so he wanted one last act of himself.
Agreed. He didn't kill himself "because" she said no... he was already in a very unwell mental state and he wanted to connect with somebody he truly cared for one last time, however unstable the method.

I fucking hate Cliff so much.

Reminder: if your definition for "caring about someone" is making an F Tweet once and then forgetting about the event a few hours later, your words hold no weight and mean nothing. Funny how the communities now pretending to give a shit are the same ones who went through the Etika saga, yet continued to make fun of Byron for his bipolar cringeposts and learned nothing about manic states. Not referring to KiwiFarms btw, more like Retardit subs like /r/livestreamfail.

Also: obligatory "didn't miss lethal this time" joke.

Wasn't Reckful also known for mushrooms, microdosing LSD, etc, and introducing other streamers (Destiny) to it who all thought it was cool?

Why would you encourage someone who already has big mood swings to take drugs. It can be bad enough if you're normal.

Yep, you're correct. He couldn't shut the fuck up about shrooms on his talks with the Dr. K psychiatrist guy, tried to get him to use psychadelics as well.

The reaction to his death has been.... well I don't know what I expected.
  • 'We just need to force more positivity, ban all negativity'
  • 'Just shout down people that disagree with you if you think they are toxic'
  • *uses death to attempt to start a conservation on why this is all actually about racism*
  • 'People just need to be better; No social media isn't the problem'
All these 'solutions' to prevent more suicides I am hearing are just going to drive more people to suicide in the long term.

I have a schizo friend who talks about suicide a lot. I tell him "do it faggot, don't be a bitch." Then we discuss amusing ways he can off himself before wandering off onto other topics.

I am a good friend. Seriously. That gets him in a better frame of mind. Bloo blooing about "life is magical and you have so much to offer" doesn't help. It juat makes the prick spouting platitudes feel better after being upset by the suicidal person.

Some people just need a reset. Some people want to talk frankly about their problems. Everyone is different.

But NOBODY benefits from essentially being told to shut up. "We care about you" is telling, not showing, and what's bad in writing is bad in real life. "Stop being toxic" shows that you regard a friend in need as an irritation. "You have so much to live for" tripe is dismissive. Some people's lives really are shit and unfixable.

I hope I'm not soapboxing too much. This shit really pisses me off. If you actually care about and like someone, you will seek their company because it pleases you to interact with them. Having friends who seek you out because they like you makes life seem worth not skipping. Nobody wants "friends" who look on you as a project, and spending time with you as a chore or grind.

Social media really exacerbates this by making it so easy for people with very little real affinity for you to puff themselves up playing at being friends with you. It's fucking sick.

No dude, you don't understand. We just need to keep posting suicide hotline numbers, that'll fix it. Oh, and I'm sure that people in a shit state of mind will totally believe us when we tell them that we, who have no fucking idea who they are, who haven't been forced to spend a day with them, who don't even know what they look like, care about them. Yeah, solving mental issues really is that simple and can be seamlessly done without soul over the internet.

World of warcraft notoriously has one of the worst communities you can find online, and it makes me roll my eyes when blizzard has done shit all to really qualm it except for their 'no bullying : ((( ' campaign they did with overwatch. not saying that the WoW community is to blame, but man having to put yourself in that spotlight for that community after so many years doesn't really help with the added mental health problems the dude already seemed to have. Hell, even just sound minded people say "fuck that" after just dealing with it for a bit and then back away from the game entirely

I hope all his affected friends and family can find peace sooner rather than later, shits not easy to deal with

I actually don't blame CURRENT YEAR for this at all. It certainly was there, but this was purely the result of bipolar disorder.

It’s a little bit of both. Bi-Polar is gonna Bi-Polar. But this year has been particularly harsh for those suffer from it. We have a year where we have been confined to that point where most if not all of these peoples social interactions occur only on Social Media. And Social Media is literally the worst thing ever invented.
