What is the absolute worst indie game of the 2010 era? I can think of a dozen, wbu?

I think Yandere Sim is the really obvious choice, nothing else on that list is really bad. Overrated? Definitely. Yandere Sim is a trainwreck of incompetence, and the whole concept is just lowest common denominator weeb bait.

Out of the list, I'd say YanSim is the worst, just by the virtue of the other games actually having merits like "adequate performance" or "being feature complete after years of development". If judging by the metric of shitty fandoms, YanSim is guilty of that, too, it just doesn't have the same continued online presence that it used to, or that other games currently have. Seconding the YIIK mention, though. Dead by Daylight can be frustrating, but YIIK is just maddening.

I've never seen anyone give a technical reason as to why they dislike Undertale (if you exclude the fatfur Kickstarter reward boss, anyway).
FNAF is — may God forgive me for making this analogy — the Saw of 2010's indie games. Super low budget horror with efficient asset use and a huge following (and lots of sequels that become increasingly less "soulful" because the budget got bigger) for what it is.
Minecraft is maybe a stolen game and technically from 2009 so it doesn't count.
Yandere Sim isn't finished, so does it count?
Haven't really experienced any of the others.

Portal 2. I hated the constant unfunny memes that that game spawned so much that I was put of playing it at all. For literally years afterwards on places like reddit it was impossible for any large thread to not have some unfunny, upvote-baiting faggots repeat lines from that stupid fucking game.
It didn't matter what the thread was about, it could be some horrible news story thread where people are talking about some kids in a warzone getting all their limbs blasted off and the neckbeards would find a way to post "hurrrr lemons" and the other neckbeards would always upvote that fucking garbage like it was the pinnacle of comedy.

Also fuck Valve in general: all their games are overrated shit. Half-Life 2 is the most overrated game ever made and Team Fortress 2 is also responsible for many, many painfully unfunny memes that mouth-breathing fedora tippers hammered into the ground and it probably seeded the creation of the billion crappy team shooter games that litter Steam.

YanSIm is an easy vote and no-brainer here, but Goat Simulator is the choice for me. So many Lets Play channels were making stupid videos about that game and at the end of it all the game itself with bare bones and got old after at least an hour of playtime. I also believe it's the game that definitely spawned the whole "simulator" genre that for some reason means it has to be a poorly made piece of shit game using free assets and clunky physics.

Why do people make so many walking simulators?
Easier than doing something creative.

I own 3 of these. Doki Doki LC is okay but not great. Haven't played Undertale yet (backlog). Bought Goat Simulator on PS4 in HK as I had no idea at the time that it was out and bought it mostly as a joke. There is legitimate fun to be had but it gets repetitive.

My vote will always be for Fez, no matter when it came out, because Phil Fish is such a whiny faggot

Good first game exercise. Bad actual game though
Easy to make, easy to force LGBTQIA in it, and your journo friends will squirt cum over it no matter what (let's face it, most 'Walking Sim' games weren't popular cause they were good, they were popular cause of nepotism)
Was FEZ actually good? I heard its creator was peak soyfaggot, but I remember reviews saying it's truly a work of art, so I assume there's some merit to it?
No. Forgettable at best. It has 1 gimmick and never improves upon it.

Imagine making a game you can beat in 5 minutes and the big twist is thay your aunt is a lesbian. That's a new level of shamelessness.
Listen, they fraudulently marketed it as a horror game for art reasons and not because nobody gives a shit about their creepy teenage lesbian fantasies with no gameplay.
