Worst Redesigns

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
The new liveries for the Electric Buses in Honolulu, is just there, and I guess it's a downgrade:

What I wonder is how long these new EV buses will be running for, compared to how the Diesel buses are used for up to ~20 years before being retired.

If we're talking about cars, the 2011 Honda Civic basically marked the moment Honda openly admitted its customers are a bunch of sheep who will buy anything with their badge on it, and put out a car that was worse than its predecessor in practically every way. It was so bad Consumer Reports removed the car from its Recommended list, which would be like IGN giving a Call of Duty game a 6/10.

I'd also nominate the 2013 Nissan Pathfinder. They killed one of the last remaining body-on-frame, affordable SUVs in the U.S. market and replaced it with a even fatter Murano ready to roll with the finest continuously variable transmission on the market.:smug:

Not saying the old Pathfinder was a great vehicle, but I'd much rather have one of those than the porcine Mallfinder with its ticking time-bomb of a transmission.

The original Wii also has rubber feet on the sides for people to put it down like that. They literally only changed the color of the console and removed features.
As for the Wii motion plus... Most games don't even make use of it.
Does this version of the console come with the gray stand to set it up vertically or did they remove that as well?

I had this set years ago. I was already bummed out about the lack of backwards compatibility, but you're telling me it should've at least come with rubber feet and a stand?

wow Nintendo. Next time take me out for dinner before you blow your load in my ass.

I don't know if you've seen this kind of photo, but this is the very first Wii model. The gray stand is removable. You can have the console stand up vertically without it, it's still stable.
The left side of the original Wii has these silicone feet:

The Gamecube ports at the top have a lid that is designed to open downwards if you keep the console in the vertical position:

Hearing you, I'm glad I got the original model around the time it came out. I've never even taken a second glance at the last models.

King County, Washington, went from a very charmingly designed crown flag (a pun on the county's name), to a hilariously awkward faux stencil of Martin Luther KING (cuz his name is also KING gettit!!!) Apparently, he spent the night there ONCE in the 60s.

Kirika in Symphogear AXZ should not have been allowed to dress herself. This could be bad design or intentional, both work for this character

Not familiar with this anime, what do the other characters look like? Because as far as anime outfits go this really doesn’t even seem THAT out-there. The most offensive part to me is the weird thigh… things, either remove them or just turn them into full-on shorts.

E: also, this is the bad redesign thread, there’s another thread for shitty character designs. Dunno if you meant to post there instead.

Well as far as redesign goes, this was her in the previous season

Devil tail aside, its a pretty standard outfit. Hoodie, tank top, shorts and trainers so considering the rest of the cast wear mostly sensible casual gear the change was a bit out there
 
Madden 09 redesigned their Brett Favre cover art after he officially signed from the Packers to the Jets.

Yeah, that white and green pales in comparison to the green and yellow.
 
I'm too lazy to copy/paste or download images right now but the fucking switch sports avatars that changed the npcs fromt he signature miis to some bootleg xboxlive/facebook metaverse looking uncanny valley soulless abominations. Yeah you can still make YOUR character a mii but matt is now fucking dead and gone. Also there's furries now. The game's character models legit lack that specific soul nintendo games tend to have visually in terms of design.
