I actually had a theory that tomgirl and tomboy Sonichus are biologically different from males and females. But of course tomboys still look female because otherwise what's the point. Notice how Robbie's tail has a curve, and Cera's is much more dull than the average Rosechu's.

But then I went back to the comics and saw that Chris just sometimes randomly draws some Sonichus with that same curved tail, so I think Chris is just a shitty artist and I'm an idiot for believing he could be more. So up until one of the DS pokemon games, Pokemon genderwise looked the same with a few notable exeptions (niachu IIrc?). One of the small yet notworthy things Nintendo changed for their DS pokemon games were that suddenly Pokemon had slightly diffrent sprite changes depending on their gender. I do mean *very* small. Of note, Riachu's male sprite had a spiked tailend, the same throughout the whole series up to the point, yet the female one had a blunt tailend. Rosechu had a spiked tailend.

When this was pointed out to him in the mailbags, instead of just replying with "Pokemon didnt have sprites based on gender until X (game)" he simply plugged his ears, hastily edited his comic in whatever paint software he uses (Its not MSPAINT, slightly diffrent interface) and replyed with such things as "ROSECHU is a female AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN ONE", "I dont see a spiked tail, do you?" or "Its off the letterbox so it doesnt count!"

With his odd grasp on sanity, reality and inteligance, it wasnt until Alec pointed out that they only started doing the sprite diffrences in Pokemon X that he used that. Personally I think he was holding off on saying that but instead manipulate some of his words and language in hopes to make Alec drop everything Asperchu because Sonichu is real and your hurting him!

That, or he really couldent tell the diffrence until it was pointed out to him, and suddenly rosechu has a pickle!
