Would you consider “touch grass” an instant lose condition in a debate/argument?

It has to be one of the most retarded memes I've ever heard, because if a person has to use canned sayings in their arguments they probably do not actually go outside or appreciate nature very often.

Besides, forests often don't explicitly contain grass and they're pretty great. You can find mushrooms and weird shit like that.

Every time someone tells you to go outside and touch grass, tell them you can't do that because you're confined in one of those cushioned rooms that they have in the mental asylums. With the straightjacket and all. You won't win the argument but people will think "This one is nuts" and leave you alone.

It depends on the context. Some people think that the biggest problem in their life is that JK Rowling posted something "anti-trans" on Twitter and now their life is in jeopardy. To that I would probably say, touch grass.

It's the r*ddit version of "cope" or "seethe" and is only used by people who are the least likely to have been outside in the past week themselves and i automatically think less of a person if they use the phrase, much like i see anyone activly posting on r*ddit as a lesser person.
I once had a sped-up Thanos talking meme .gif, captioned "Curious how you're telling me to touch grass, yet you're on the keyboard same as me".

Perfectly encapsulates my feelings towards "touch grass".
