Would you join a space colony program if it let you give up your debts and obligations on earth?

depends if I can do a 1776 afterwards, or at least get something named after me

I don't have debts but I would be happy to leave this rock.

No way. I have seen to many movies to know how this ends. First they promise you stuff and shit, then you arrive in this new cool space colony and everything looks totally fine, then you start to notice things and before you know what's really going on they harvest your organs for the space colony elite or they use you for some horrifying experiments and test their new nuclear laser blasters on you or insert some newly found alien eggs in your butt.

Lol no i have no debts and some savings. Also I won't be the lab rat. Whomever wants to be the pioneer and die from cancer/ accidents/ alien diseases/ some random shit be my guest . My grandchildren will show up 50-60 years later to scam whatever descendants the debt slaves have produced if any .

No. I mean, the only places you could go within a lifetime would be the Moon or Mars. And both would suck more than planet Earth. If I wanted to leave society, I would build a house in Greenland, Sibera or Northern Finland, or somewhere like that.

I'd finally be able to fulfill my childhood dream of being a Space Knight, sure why not?

I stay behind and bravely shoulder the burden of functioning bones and organs.

nice try, corpo glowie, but i'd just be in debt to the space people then. i know how this works out. i've played hardspace shipbreaker before. i know how this ends

What if we just send all the convicts to space to mine space minerals in a penal colony and turn space into Australia

Giving up on Earth to go to space is gay and retarded. Also, I'm scared of heights and I just feel like that would be a problem.
