It's that region in Ontario between the three great lakes with the big cities where most Canadians live.

Beyond just the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), Toronto, Hamilton, St Catherine's, and Niagara Falls is sometimes called the "Golden Horseshoe" (since they're in a vaguely horseshoe-like arc along the western edge of Lake Ontario) and there's the general "Kitchener-Waterloo" area, but I'm not sure if there's a specific term for the entire region beyond "Southwest Ontario".

ADDENDUM: Oh, it's also called the "Ontario Peninsula".
