Hello there.
The reason that I bump this almost year old-thread is because I was partially involved in that Discord shenanigans, so I try to claify some shit if I can. Sorry if my post will be a bit sperg-y since it's my first time posting here, and I'am a third worlder. I'm a fan of MATI streams and Josh so when I checked this forum I was surprised to see this thread about our small community.
Apparently there was a whole gay-op going on to ban your server from Discord. As far as I could recall, Evryone_expext_you fag was using Lionstar (one of the Discord mod) to gather and screencap any Nigger and Stonetoss comics that we posted. He tried to start shit up, depmanding to ban Bloax (one of the well-known shitposter and artist conrtebutor) but we just kick him like 4-5 times. Dealing with low-IQ spergs who can't play a game from 1994, was regular occurrence for the Piratez moderation, so we just brush him off as another schizo and coomer.
In the end, we try to move our shitpost to a private channel to avoid any further attention for Discord mods, but of course it wasn't enough.
After Discord exterminatus, most of the mods and OpenXcom devs were banned. And if THAT wasn't enough, apperently there was a big spam attack on the OpenXcom forum demanding Warboy and SupSuper (The mod admins and OpenXcom creators) to complitly delete and remove Dioxine from the site. Surprisingly, they didn't yield, but decided just de-mod Dioxine form the forum, for being hecking nazi and troon hater.
Btw, OXCE Discord (not the X-Piratez one) was well-know shithole before the nuke, and was (and still is) moderated by a troon, like many others.
In the end, we just move to the Matrix now, and updating our mod since then, kinda sucks to lose the wider audience, but oh-well. Again, was kinda surprised to see it here in all places, so I try to contribute as much as I can, to fill the holes even tough it's not THAT much.
Anyway, never trust the troons, and gatekeep your hobbies.
