>Immediately called a faggot over his keyboard (outing himself as a possible Britfag despite using NASA and MIT in the LARP), blatant misspelling and formatting that would embarrass even a 12th grader. Also prints this on the back of some other unrelated document as one poster notices text above the featured "document".

EDIT: Found the original thread this all came from. And people already are calling the guy a fag. he also breaks the immersion immediately by stating he's not sure if it's a space rock or an ET ship. I’ve tried to forget the past like, 6 years of Christory to be honest. But I know the Idea Guys were giant weebs. And if I know anything about giant weebs, it’s that they get really fucking desperate to fuck anime waifus. And sometimes y’know, that calls for a little browse onto /x/ to view some tulpa guides. Maybe check up on /mlp/ to see how those guys are doing with their Fluttershy hallucinations.

Sure. But manipulating him with a bunch of woo-woo only fucked him up even more. Do you honestly think Chris would be less stable if he didn't believe in new age shit? I bet you a entire dime that if the Idea Guys were here today, DM'd Chris and said "I just heard from Sonichu that Mary Lee Walsh is about to bomb CWCville! Quick! The only way to save the town is by murdering Barb!" he would do it in a heartbeat. Because he believes CWCville is a real, genuine thing now. It's not just his imaginary fun land. Idea Guy cemented in his head that his shit is real, and it's only spiraled out of control since then.

I preface this by saying I love religion. I love learning about it and hearing people's beliefs. But there's definitely a fine line between "This is a ritual I do to give my life meaning" and "This is a ritual I do because my brain don't work no good and now I believe reptiles control the government". I think shoving a bunch of conspiracies and shit into the face of a mentally ill person isn't right. And whatever the product is of that action is probably going to be bad.

Sometimes I read the tulpa threads just because they are fascinating. I know this is related to bronies some how, but did this stuff start in Tumblr? Reminds me of the crap Tumblr users would LARP about in 2013 like headmates.

As someone who was heavily active when the headmate/fictive/DID Tumblr shit was at its peak, I don't recall seeing much mention of tulpas. I don't believe it started there. However, a lot of their old ideas parallel those in /x/'s tulpa circles. This post is one of the most insane ones I've seen. What a catch.

I definitely remember tulpas happening before headmates. I watched both communities with much fascination. From what I remember, it did start on /x/, but a lot of them also had encouragement from this big tulpa forum and irc channels.

The OP of this thread has my favorite story of Koomer and Oguigi. This guy's story is already wild, but later on he came back and said it was all just creative fiction. The tulpa forums went aboslutely nuts about it, and circle jerked about how they weren't fakers, and their tulpas were 100% real. Pretty much all of them (Tulpamancers, headmate havers, DID people) are roleplaying. They sperg out so hard when one of them reveals it's all fake because it's throwing stones in a glass house. That's why they all resemble each other.

There's beef between tulpa people and "real sufferers of DID" for exactly the same reason. There's no way to distinguish a tulpamancer from a DID haver, and it drives them up the wall.
