X/Twatter: Anyone notice how the For You feed is suddenly inundated by far-left content after the election?

I don't think it should come off as surprising that the terminally-online and their bot accounts would be brought into a tizzy over the election results. Ragebait is one of the better ways to get engagement, after all, especially if it's political. The left will lose their shit together and the right will gloat and propagandize. I think the reason why the lefty content gets signal boosted more though is because their content tends to get more visceral reactions than right wing stuff does, especially when accounting for certain types of individuals...

That's why you leave terribly mean things in the replies.
My favorite genre is telling them Project 2025 is coming for them. They're dumb enough to believe it so why not have fun with it?

You don't even have to leave mean things or even reference project 2025 for them to freak out and go ballistic. Literally jsut do goofy shit like quote the guy who narrated over "who killed captain alex" and they connect the dots to mean some shit about donald trump and project 2025 because they are that desperate to have a boogeyman present to fight. All you gotta do is say some sht like "action s coming... i promise youuuuu!" and they IMMEDIATELY suspect you're talking about how trump is gonna kill all gays and minorties or whatever.

Twitter users' nasty habit of vagueposting coming back to haunt them. Sometimes I wonder if the zealots that preach about media literacy just think the entire world is a high-context society and insist on reading into anything presented to them.

I think it's less a genuine freak out and more a mighty need to always have an enemy to take down.
 
I don't use the feed. I just bookmark the people who I want to follow and open the folder in tabs.
