Sorry for the hiatus, I haven't been able to sleep properly for a week.
On the plus side Khan's surgery to make him a MEC Trooper finished just in time. The CWCki Squad now has it's first MEC Trooper!

Well, this is new. Fortunately, Taggert manages to score a hit. Also, Dr. Shen is shallow.

Luckily, RoboKhan softens one up, allowing Napalm to finish it off. Unfortunately, two more floaters show up.

Napalm wounds a floater, allowing Surtur to finish it off.

Taggert gets a critical on the zombie and Saney manages to mop it up from his perch atop a truck.

Napalm gets another floater and Saney finishes off another.

Well, the mission was a success and there were no casualties, but far too many civilians died for my tastes.

Council Mission, we're going to China. Since Caffeinated Wench was just turned into a GM trooper and needs XP, Surtur's going to sit this mission out.

The objective is to get Zhang, a former Triad member to the Skyranger for extraction. The McGuffin he carries is going to be useful for future missions.

After setting up defensive positions, two thin men drop down. One's injured, but the other's unhurt.

Until Taggert finishes it off, however.

Caffeinated Wench makes a dash for the second thin man. It takes aim, but misses.

Allowing her to kill it.

A third thin man shows up, but Napalm effortlessly ends it.

Not only does a chrysalid show up, but another thin man drops down behind the squad. Unfortunately for him, everyone on the squad hits him. Well, except for Napalm, who waits until after its dead until he shoots it.

Saney, meanwhile, decides he wants to be a hero and dashes forward to meet the chrysalid in combat.

Luckily for him, RoboKhan, Taggert and Napalm finish it off before it can reach him.

Another a thin man and a sectoid show up. Saney manages to wound one...and unfortunately, before it can be finished off, I accidentally hit the "End Turn" button. Because I am dumb.

The aliens take the opportunity to use RoboKhan for target practice.

Fortunately, Saney manages to finish off the thin man.

Caffeinated Wench wounds the sectoid and Napalm manages to finish it off with his laser pistol.

With all the aliens dead, Zhang is free to make a run for the Skyranger. Operation Cursed Jester was a success. And with the engineers we got from this mission, we can now build our first laser rifles!

Well, we've completed the research on Precision Lasers. Unfortunately, unless we shoot down another UFO soon, we won't have the alloys needed to give Napalm his laser sniper rifle. In the meantime, we need to figure out what we want to research next. To recap, we still have: Xeno-Biology, Experimental Warfare, Alien Nav Computer, UFO Power Source and heavy lasers. There's also the Skeleton Suit, but again, we don't have the alloys needed to research it.

I been meaning to keep up more with this.

What I recall is that you need the biomod that lets soliders autoheal 2 HP a turn. Later on, 2 HP may not be very much but regeneration is always a very handy perk.

Unless you are deadpool. Meh, even so...
