Nintendo finally released a new trailer for XB3. They actually pushed the release date forward...(back?) from September to July of this year!

Plus they're using the same British casting we all love. (Yes 2 had good voice acting. Fight me. It is the direction that was shit. Plus the Xenoblade games voiceover is far superior to the usual cast of shitty Valerie Arem directed actors in her cult)

And they kinda have to stick to the UK specifically because of Melia, again voiced by Jenna Louise Coleman.

Thoughts? Are you gonna pick this up?

First one was okay even if the combat kind of fell to shit at the end, Second One was super fun so I will eventually buy the third.

Did I see people Fuse into Giant Robots in this one? Are they going to somehow tie this insanity to Xenogears somehow?

The real question is if all the girls were designed by hentai artists again.

Not that I mind.
Character design in Xenoblade 3 seems to be closer to the character design of the first game
Not that it would stop skimpy outfits as optional costumes either way, which is fine by my book

It's so ironic that people bitched about the blade designs in 2 (never mind the fact that.....they're fucking blades)

never mind the fact that.....they're fucking fictional characters
ftfy
also it was cool that you could change the clothing appearance of your party regardless of the armor sets they were wearing in DE.

I have yet to play Xenoblade 2 before I get into the new sequel, but I really enjoyed the first game on Switch. Dickson was my favorite character even if he gets to betray the whole party in the last arc

He looks like a cross between Billy Ray Cyrus and Tom Selleck lol. I bet you Willem Dafoe could play him

watching the interface makes my eyes bleed. is that what happens when you getting old?
Xenoblade has a terrible interface, it's not just you.
I wonder if this one will have shit tutorials again where you get them almost to the end, where they explain something with the in game terminology and getting lost because they never damn explain what for example, what eather is and what it does in game.

A bit lost with the franchise tbh.

I liked xenoblade 1 and the remake on switch.
I didn't vibe at all with the characters and gameplay of xeno 2 tho.
The whole anime harem story, waifus and gatcha shit wasn't for me

I'm not in this game, so I give this game a 3/10 already. Absolutely unplayable.

Nah, Xenoblade has a lot of interface stuff due to how many mechanics it tends to have and the scope of the combat. So you need one corner with party member stuff, another corner with layout of your abilities, another corner for a different ability/mechanical interface, then you got the enemy hp bar, and then you got whatever other bullshit needs its own corner.

It is very much not for everyone at all and this game wants to have up to 7-8 (depending on if the nopon and their partner also can also split) party members in combat instead of the usual 3 which makes the very large amount of interface crap on the screen even worse. I love this autistic shit personally when it flows well like in 2 once I understood what was going on and once I did the interface was fine as I was able to understand what parts mattered to me and what part didn't, but obviously not everyone wants to go through that sort of hassle.

2 was specifically made the way it was narrative wise because the director thought Japan was overly depressed so he made some upbeat positive story with a pretty squarely happy ending instead of the very downer existential crisis laden story of 1, that is partially why 2 was so weird compared to 1. 2's plot is also rushed to fuck sometimes (startling considering it has I think 11 hours of cutscenes) as only 2 out of the 5 main party members really finish their development and arcs, 1 is a joke character, and 2 don't really get very satisfying conclusions if that to their plots.

I prefer 1's plot and setting over 2 by a mile, but 2 played better as a game once I understood the flow of the mechanics. This seems to be going for somethin akin to 2's combat again as blades seem to still be a combat mechanic, so who knows what crazy autistic nonsense they'll make this time.

I am all fucking in for this game. I imported the first game and modded my Wii when it looked like it wasn't coming over, loved the second one and its boobies. It's day one for me and it will be glorious.

I also love the fact that the series defaulted to English accents because it got released in the EU first with no intention of getting released in NA.

Looks neat enough I think I'll go ahead and play the first two. Interface stuff doesn't bother me, I associated Xeno series with autistic combat since Xenogears.
