Xenoblade Chronicles 3 - pip pip cheerio cor blimey

I tried to get into X but I just can't. And its all the Wii U's fault. Mine has what I believe is a dying hard-drive and makes all sorts of obnoxious noise when playing games (particularly when loading). Its so bad that I have to leave the room and play in gamepad mode to escape the noise. But the game is clearly not meant for that. Text is too small to read and the map is too important to be hidden. And of course off-tv play had occasional laggy moments too.

And the Wii U controller layout was AWFUL. The right stick is terribly placed to the extent that I rarely adjusted the camera, touching the screen for gameplay is obnoxious and I am not going to finish the game because of it. Also, quick resume was dearly missed.

Ahh well, was really looking forward to it, too.
Can you really not emulate it?

I have no desire to fuck around with emulators. Or, really, to replay up to the admittedly early game point I am at now.
I don't know or care about your computer
But there's a reasonable chance setting up WiiU games on your PC is quite simple really

but damn was it that bad huh, xeno 1 2 and 3 had pretty execrable openings

p sure you can get your save onto your pc and progress from there, sans wii u

you may only be a google search away

The actual gameplay was fine (well, it was early Xenoblade fine...) except for anything to do with the system I was playing it on.

You really don't have a reason not to just homebrew your Wii U. Doing so would allow you to dump your save file so you can emulate it, dump the game so you can legally emulate it, and even use any bluetooth controller you want instead, even though I personally find the Wii U stick layout to be vastly superior to the Xbox layout the Switch uses (and even Valve used it for the Steam Deck).

Wii U doesn't have a hard drive, its flash NAND memory. If you are running from a disc you are probably just hearing the disc being read (which doesn't sound any different than any other console that reads from a disc, are you just spoiled by modern consoles not reading from discs at all?), there are DLC downloads to speed up loading for Xenoblade X that you can get off the E-Shop, but I'm not sure if you can still get them because they shut it down. In which case follow this guide, which works for hacked Wii Us and emulation

It's seriously worth hacking your Wii U. It can emulate every prior Nintendo console (sans the 3ds), including flawless Wii and Gamecube because it has the system on its board. It can even play DS games without compromise because of the gamepad.

Dude you have no idea how loud and obnoxious that beeping and clicking is, its not a disc drive. Also I popped the disk out and it was thankfully still scratchless.

Do you have an external hard drive plugged in? The only moving part inside the Wii U is the disc drive and the fan. If you have an external drive then make sure its getting enough power. Does it do it with other games? Does it do it when playing a game off the storage and not a disc? I can't find anything about it other than two reddit posts

Holy shit, Ghondor is insufferable. Send her right back to jail where she belongs. For those who have pkayed the JP version is she less of a bitch in that one?

Edit: Well, thats an embaressing triple post.

I didn't find her too aggrevening and she's connected to one of the plot points that don't monumentally suck.

Honestly the city should have been the villain faction since it makes sense they'll want to perpetuate the world.

I just want X 2 and go back to alien planet exploration on a giant robot. You'd think those kind of games won't be completely barren.

Alright, 142 hours in the game is beaten. I gotta say though, fuck that ending, it doesn't explain shit. We really needed the customary 1 hour cutscene explaining how the world was created that the other two games got.

It is currently 9/11 for enbies in the Xenoblade community.

The "Aionios Moments" artbook has been leaked online and translated. And confirms what may actually be common knowledge to many who played the game: A is not non-binary, but a woman.

This also supports previous evidence such as a gender flag listing A as female in the game (compared to Juniper who used a non-male non-female flag), as well as it just conflicting with what we already know from XC2 and other lore.

Twitter retards are coping. Trying to pull semantic arguments about the Japanese language and saying "transphobia" if you reaffirm what official released text says.

I hope this drives those freaks away, inshallah. They are starting to infest even the most obscure micro communities now with their faggotry.

It's been bad since XC3 released. There's certain elements in it that appeal to these audiences, and that's not inherently bad, but it does draw them in which has proven to be an issue since they keep trying to chuck out all of the old fans.

There's also an element of hypocrisy at play here. I've seen plenty of people scream "STOP SEXUALISING XC2 CHARACTERS" while simultaneously being the thirstiest motherfuckers when it comes to Noah, N or Shulk. They've even been trying to rewrite the past by "claiming" Nia as a trans icon (yes... that Nia... the one that has a biological daughter and is part of Rex's 3-woman harem).

I've seen people ship Stanley from The Stanley Parable with the narrator (the character with no actual form). Never underestimate the insanity of shippers.
