Can't even see the group because it's not public. If the discussion isn't personal in nature and supposedly concerns only wider societal issues, why make the group private?

There are several public message boards all around the net that have fruitful discussions on the topics. What do you think makes this particular group remarkable and unique enough?

I knew that would be a problem...but I had to make it a somewhat private club because there are several hostile homosexuals at facebook who wants nothing but a swearing contest.

I already had two of them to leave, and only two (to my understanding) are in the club. One guy who is for homosexuality at least knows how to control his emotions while debating, and THESE are the type of people I want in my group. So, if you can defend your point without blowing a fuse, please join!

The club is called Debating Homosexuality (LGBT).

Oh Xiao, I am disappoint.

Whats the point of debate if theres no one who opposes you is allowed to enter the discussion?

*stress sigh* Ask a fairly reasonable question (I think), get vague justifications back.

I replied with this:

I'm still not convinced that kind of group moderation strategy is solid. On places I've been moderating discussions, I've never felt any need to delete anything unless it's spam or outright harassment - if it's just a user who can't control their emotions, then I trust that other people are also able to identify those screeds as such. Better leave those messages there as monuments to failures to debate. Consider the advantages - right now, all I have is your word that you encountered some hostile debaters. If it were on public, you could have given me a link and said "this one, right here".

I can understand the need to keep the failures to debate out of sight, so that people don't need to waste time reading those again, but I frankly don't understand why the wins have to be hidden from the public too. What can that possibly accomplish? In 100 years, will any historian be able to go back and say "this is where it happened, this is where the society finally realised the truth?" If it was on some private board, heck no.

Like I said, there are several public message boards devoted to the topic already. And I believe, for better or ill and despite of obvious shortcomings, that public boards handle this kind of debates better.

As a Russian, I'm offended.

Also, fun fact for Natalie, Russia (well, communist Russia) was one of the first nations in the world to decriminalize homosexuality (France was the first, Poland never had laws against it until its occupation by Nazi Germany). Lenin was a relatively progressive leader for his time *

*I took over and ruined everything, of course.

No, no, no, You misunderstand those kids in your sig are pleased to see you because you were such an awesome leader.

Yeah, especially since I executed their parents (that's what the translation is).

On the topic of XFF, she hides the group because she knows that she can't really defend her positions and doesn't want anyone challenging her world view.

1. She is complaining about sex change now.

It is wrong no matter how it is swung. One of the main issues will always be a spiritual one: no one can change how God created them, "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them" (Genesis 1:27). A man or a woman can change themselves on the outside to the opposite sex all they want, but they can never change what God made. People have finally come to the point of wanting to BE God. It is rebellion of the most of the most high....not to mention, nothing short of a mad scientist movie.

A journal about her meeting an insane DA user.

No one's checked in on Xiao for a while, so I thought I would.

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost (2 Corinthians 4:3).

Oh lord, that Facebook page.

The reverse Evangelism
"Anything the gay agenda can do, the atheists can do better. That seems to be the unbeliever’s mantra for 2013 as godless radicals rise up not only for recognition—and not only to tear down all things Christian in the public square—but to actually woo born-again Bible believers to the dark side. Call it reverse evangelism." ~CF

I should talk to her again, see if her tu quoque skills are up to date.

Please do. It's been a while since someone on the forum engaged her, let's see what stupid things she says now.

This is the song in question:

Yes, it is that heavy.

Ignorant in thought
Distorts your twisted values
Break your ancient chains
And part with the ways of the past
You don't have the right
To force your own opinion
You don't understand
So you have to lash

Anti-homophobe

We believe in freedom
Whatever turns you on
Life is short and full of woe
So you have yourself a blast
I may not be gay
But I don't care if you are
Live your life in peace
And fuck them if they laugh

Anti-homophobe

only read up to page 5, maybe I'll keep reading

HOW is this woman NOT BORED OUT OF HER MIND??? Is this the only thing she thinks about?? Nothing else?? Seriously? This is her whole existence??? Just hating homos? That's it???

And 19 pages (presumably) discussing how one-track her mind is and how unreachable she is??

So, she blocked me because I was being "unreasonable".

Isn't blocking someone can make you look like you can't deal with other people's point of views so you block them because they have differing opinions than you? Isn't that unreasonable?
Hypocrite.
