Xmas Hate Thread

I'm confident many more people start out practicing their faith and then become believers
From personal experience I can attest to this, decided to go to church out of a curiosity to learn more about it the "mythos" of the religion and now I'm a believer and follower of Christ.

A life with faith is a simple yet happy life. I hope OP managed to have a happy Christmas despite his harsh words.

Edit: To clarify, since @Shlomo XL think this is somehow dishonest: it's hard to fake something forever, and I'm confident many more people start out practicing their faith and then become believers, than wake up believers and then decide to open a Bible or visit a church. @Preacher ✝ any thoughts on this?
Insightful, thanks! I'm going to meditate on just "practicing" a faith to see if I can get good at it. It's kind of the way any fulfilling activity isn't fun the very first time (because you naturally suck at it at first.)

How mad are you now, OP? You accidentally made the positive seasonal Christian vibes in here even stronger.

Don’t even get me started on the commercial bullshit. Santa Claus and polar bears drinking coke? CONSOOOM.
Yeah, this is why Christmas is really annoying sometimes. Corporations really don't shut up during the season pretending to be wholesome. It's fake and gay. It's been like this for the past 50 years and getting worse everytime our planet rotates around the sun. The worse part is that it's unavoidable.

I'm working my way through the "Bible in a year" podcast by Fr. Mike Schmitz, as recommended by Preacher.

It's a curriculum that uses the 14 storytelling books of the Bible as its base, with the other books about prayer, ritual, Old Testament law, etc as supplements, and then some commentary and prayer. About 20-30min per day, less if you listen at 1.5x.

I've really intensely grown to hate this holiday to a point where I just retreat and want it to go away.
