I wouldn't say it's about race, but about culture. The Chinese mainland culture is beyond fucked in it's regard for both animal and human rights. Yes, many Chinese have pets and love them just like westerners, but as a whole, their culture doesn't give a shit who or what suffers at their hands. It's a product of Mao's terrible policies and decades spent starving, being beaten by police, turned into the authorities by family and neighbors, etc. They're an extremely jaded and low trust society. People don't even help each other because there's been so many cases where, say an old lady falls on the sidewalk, a young man helps her up, and then she successfully sues the young man by claiming he pushed her. People are afraid to go against these cat abusers because there is no law against it, and they could be accused of stalking/harassment, especially given the guanxi or connections his father has. This is uniquely an issue of Chinese law and culture, this is the Chinese zoosadist thread, not the Kero thread. We're not talking about Million Pity and those degenerate westerners either, we're talking about a Chinese phenomena, which is allowed to thrive with no consequences due to the Chinese culture and laws.
It's 100% a cultural issue, the same way India factually has a culture that promotes both shitting outside, and killing/attacking/disowning rape victims. Yes we have rapists in the west, but we don't have honor killings of rape victims. Yes we have animal abusers, but we have laws to prosecute them, and do not face censorship and criminal charges ourselves for trying to expose them. This whole thing was in Chinese, to Chinese viewers. No zoosadist organization in the west can even hold a candle to the horror of the Yulin Dog Festival. Animal abuse is condoned if not outright encouraged by Chinese culture. Yes, Chinese people will tell you that they don't eat dogs, "Only koreans do that, only the rural stupid people do that", but a look at China's equivalent of google maps shows that there are restaurants serving dogs in every single city in every single region of China.
Moreover, the Chinese are one of the most xenophobic and racist nations on Earth in this day and age. They had signs during covid saying shit like "No dogs, blacks, or indians allowed" they call white foreigners "laowhy" (foreigner) and gweilo (white ghost) to our faces and assume we can't understand them. They'll point at blacks in China and talk about how black they are and call them black ghosts and beasts assuming they can't speak Chinese, even though many of them can, as they are Africans who already grew up speaking multiple languages. If you tell a random Chinese cab driver you're German, he'll talk about how strong of a leader Hitler was. Their government wants to see us destroyed, and most of their people are ensnared by their propaganda. I don't give a single shit if the CCP thinks it's racist to say their culture was destroyed by Mao, and promotes the abuse of both humans and animals. They are the most racist assholes and believe that they are descended from Homo Floresiensis and evolved sepatately from the rest of humanity and are better than us. They literally think they are 100% different than we are. They think we came from Neanderthals and they came from Floresiensis. Yet at any opportunity it suits them. they play the race card, because they know us westerners carry white guilt and hate being accused of racism.
It's not a problem due to their genetics, but due to their culture. I have a friend in Beijing rn who is studying Chinese History and speaks the language at an intermediate level, and we both agree on these fundamental negative differences, despite him loving the Chinese language, culture, and people. I do too, I'm obsessed with China, my name even has Guangdong in it, but by pretending these cultural issues are not cultural issues, you are sweeping them under the rug and excusing them.
What about the British and Americans? Go to the Kero or Million Pity threads to discuss them. We're talking about China here. We see a lot of western consumers of animal abuse content simply because we can understand the language easier, and we are free to talk about and criticize the issues. In nations like China and Russia, this shit usually flies under the radar, and the language barrier is hard to break. They don't even have laws against it. In Korea, all kinds of fucked up sadist chats have been exposed by journalists, it doesn't happen in China because it's not against the law, and we usually don't see it. Their entire internet is segragated from our's by the Great Firewall. Of course that makes it look like it's mostly westerners doing this shit.
