I esp like the more futuristic sounding Y2K/Millennium dance-pop that a lot of PC/hyperpop artists draw influence from. I wish there was a term for this kind of music:

And I'm cheating here because this is from 2006

And then of course, the aesthetic from that era.

This gallery is a good collection. I call this "wipeout-core" design, because the funky alien fonts looks like all the fake advertising/branding in that psx game. I have a few magazines from that era in box somewhere as well with lots of this stuff in ads AND article layouts, very much my favorite mainstream era of visuals.

Walk into a skate shop back then and everything looked like this, completely eye catching.
Then it all turned into emo skinneyjeans and white belts, and culture never came back to life.

Blümchen probably counts although she made her debut in 1995.

She's making music again! Check out this catchy nostalgiabait:

In the same genre, Aqua and Smile.dk come to mind.

That Smile dk song was on literally every bootleg Chinesium girls toy in the early 2000s lmao

Also does anyone remember AM to PM by Christina Milian?

Girls Aloud? Atomic Kitten?

You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar.
I unironically think the Atomic Kitten cover of Eternal Flame is better than The Bangles’ original version.

The Girls Aloud vs Sugababes crossover of Walk this Way by Aerosmith slaps too.

this one i quite like. christina really is much better than britney, just not as pretty so would never have been "that" star. she's the Jannetty to britney's Michaels.

and this one which i once heard described as "the biggest mismatch in quality between music and lyrics ever"
