Nigger isn't even that special :story: looks like she badly wants the transphobic Kiwifarms to talk about her some more.
It's an easy way to collect oppression points to have the Kiwinazis make fun of you on the internet.
"Sensitivity reader"

Oy.

I'm sure that started as a somewhat useful thing, but by now it's paying someone to reee at you for not writing about sunshine and rainbows or not demonizing cishet white males enough.
In the old days when the cishet whites ruled the world, a sensitivity reader was called an editor and they were there to tell you it might be offensive to put in graphic descriptions of sex or murder in a book aimed at preteens.

"show not tell" is a good technique to use in writing too. Instead of "Anna was very mad at her boyfriend", "Anna stormed in her bedroom after their fight. Looking at the picture of Tom was the last straw" is more descriptive. It's also used to develop a good story structure and show hints of characters intentions and future plots from the start instead of just pulling it out of your ass at the end like a Scooby Doo villain.

Of course, you need some talent to do things like this and it's not as easy as it looks like, no matter what's your writing style. I mentioned before that writing dosn't require any particular tool like painting (brushes, paint, canvas) or movie making (actors, cameras, lighting). You only need a good idea and paper or a computer and you're done. You can even "publish" everywhere like ff.net or tumblr. That's why you see so many tumblerites writing their stupid fanfics and OCs, beleiving they're writers. Things like YAgate (or any gate) happen when you're reminded that you need to develop your characters more than "Narcissa was a transgender-fluid black muslim woman since xy was born and she was super oppressed".

Gatekeeping is a good thing as long as it's done on basis of talent, not political allegiance or any silly thing like sex or race, tbh.

Who is this made for? Gen Z kids (aka the alleged demographic for YA works) are the most conservative generation since post-WW2. They do not give two shits about being woke or PC.
Young adults who are worthy of reading should just read actual books.

The YA scene is absolute garbage, run by scum, trying to brainwash you.
I personally would encourage pretty much anyone on the lower end of the YA demographic to just stick with middle grade and those on the higher end to go to adult books. YA isn't for them anymore anyway. It seems like most of the YA fanbase right now is just angry Millennials who can't let go.

Why can’t the United States be more accepting of people? Y’know, like all those predominantly Muslim countries.

I’m sure this will be a big hit with the crowd that likes to pretend they are deep thinkers even though they only read books for kids.

I also can't think of a time we've ever done internment camps other than during World War 2, when the people we locked up came from a country that dropped a bomb on us. Whether that was the right thing to do or not depends on who you ask, but it's not like we randomly did that for no reason other than xenophobia.

I think the surviving Choctaw, Chickasaw, Creek, Seminole, Cherokee, Potawatomi, Nez Perce, among others would disagree with that view of history.

The worst thing about the YA youtubers is that the most viewed ones are always:

1.) sponsored (generally by Disney Hyperion or Fairyloot)

and

2.) always virtue signalling (i.e. "Why aren't there any Latinx BookTubers invited to speak on this panel? Don't you know how huge the Hispanic BookTube community is?!")

Also the use of terms like "BookTube" and BookstaGram" are the epitome of everything that is unholy.

Oh, I guess reservations are internment camps lawless shitholes that exploit US tax code and their borders to profit immensely off of tobacco, alcohol & gambling. Never thought of it that way.
Fixed for all the chugs who might think they're getting any free oppression points. There's a big difference between reservations and La Zorra.
