Wasn't he the one who wanted to be a musician and shit? Or am I confusing him with someone else? I think that was him.

Honestly the guy just seemed clueless but well meaning from what I've seen of it. Like one of those people who have rich parents and is supposed to take over the family business but they scream "God mom and dad, I just want to be an artist! Why can't you accept me for who I am?!" all while he's spending massive amounts of money and making poor people hate him without even realizing it because they have a completely warped idea of the value of money.

How was Nero based Dynastia? Sounds like some god damn pampered liberal soy boy to me *spit*
Nero was essentially forced into puppet rulership by his psychopathic mother and then pulled the Uno reverse and whacked her before she could whack him. He was intrigued into the purple as a child through plots and murders with no choice or agency of his own, and ended up being the most hated and reviled man in the world when he was still a confused prepubescent idiot, and he still managed to turn it around and run that shit anyway, on his own terms. He did do some (many) horrific things, but most of his reputation comes from the fact that a bunch of retarded pissy senators and kingmakers kept putting inbred children in the purple and then throwing retard fits and trying to murder them the second a vote didn't go their way, and they spent generations still seething that Nero outplayed them.

Mind you that Neckbeard Nero is a thing:

He blamed the Christians for burning down Rome when he was being accused of it, then fed them to starving dogs.
He actually did the best he could responding to the fire and better than most Emperors of the time would have done, but the retard pissy senators still made up lies about him starting the fire, laughing at the fire, fiddling over the ruins of the fire, etc. Nero wasn't a particularly good Emperor by any means, but he was far from the worst, which is where most pop history tends to place him.

Right, there always seems to be a major disparity between the "Nero was pretty much the most evil man ever he played his fiddle while Rome burned" vs. the reality.

I'm not even sure where the fiddle thing came from, because then I've also been told he actively, personally helped with the fires.
Then again people always talk about Caligula too and how he was this unhinged degenerate, and while he was clearly a little screwed up, half the time it just seemed like the senate was mad that he thought they sucked and preferred to talk to commoners, like "Oh he promoted his horse, he's clearly mad!"; don't play that fucking game senate, he's clearly saying he believes most officials are such useless retards that a horse could do your job.

That seems pretty based to me. You just can't trust historical accounts of rulers these days; too many player haters.

Caligula was raised on a pedophile torture island by the man who murdered his entire family, because that guy thought it would be funny to emotionally torture him even more. Caligula managed to ingratiate himself to his captor and eventually murder him before taking the Imperial throne for himself. Caligula was all kinds of fucked up, but anyone who survived his childhood would have been too, and he did a pretty good job with the cards he was dealt.

edit ; and yeah the horse thing was just a rhetorical insult that a bunch of snowflake senators chose to take super literally to cry about.

Jaquie Beckwith was the queen of all the munchies. Even though she died in 2019, she's still brought up in the Reddit munchie groups, the KF munchie thread, and other individual KF munchie threads. I don't think we've replaced her. She took faking to an art form. Jaq still has lots of fans, and her "friends" have made a point to not discuss her cause of death. Jaq munched herself to death from a dependence on narcotics and an unused, unneeded surgical feeding tube. Her intestines herniated around the tube while she was inpatient and on high doses of narcotics. So she didn't notice until her intestines died and there was nothing anyone could do. She was 23.

@Null Some lolcows become figures of historical renown.
What is the standard for creating a thread on such figures in this subforum?
I just don't want a thread OP be just a copy-and-paste of their Wikipedia article while also not a 32-page dissertation.

I've thought about making a lolcow thread for the late Jack Chick but at the same time, a lot of his stuff is covered in the admittedly really old "Crazy Christians" thread in Community Watch.

Like it or not, Chick was a prominent early internet lolcow with Chick Tract parodies being one of those things that kept popping up in the late 90's and early-to-mid 2000's.

Jonathan Ross hasn't had any updates in a long time and the thread has only been derailed since his last update, users are notoriously bad at archiving his streams. Allegedly, @Bryan Dunn was obsessed with Ross and probably has archives. Shout out to @Delicious Diversity @CatboyCumDump and @Moist Man for telling me to give it a read.

A good standard for this subforum is to limit it to figures who were alive after the invention of the internet or maybe figures who became famous due to the internet.
