Our standard for new boards is 'audiences, not categorization'. I believe that there is a specific audience interested in people who have completed their stories which will benefit from this board.

We've also never had a space for stories about historic figures that have been dead long before the forum. Francis E. Dec and Timothy Dexter come to mind.

So, I'll be moving inactive threads there. If there's a thread I miss, feel free to report it.

What's the standard for considering a story "complete?" Does the person in question have to be dead?

Dead or long-term incarceration is the best candidate or seriously inactive enough that they probably aren't coming back. We can just move threads out if they do come back.

I’d say Allison rapp and Julie Terryberry should go there definitely. Julie being dead and Alison? Who knows.

Sweet. There's a lot of historical/inactive figures here without threads who are well worth discussing. Even if some of them would never justify a whole thread, a "dead weirdos general" thread would create some great stories - people like Troy Hurtubise, Donald Crowhurst, that idiot who went to Alaska and got himself and his girlfriend eaten by a bear, etc.

A few worth mentioning, starting off with one of the most fucked up ones; Nick Bate.
There's also the 600lbs one that told us in his own thread here on the Farms that he was healthy, and doing alright and getting better, before dying a short while afterwards; Chance Carmichael.
Another interesting read would be the mother keeping her dead daughter's corpse "alive" for months upon months; Mama Nails

Could it be worth having a 'deceased' tag for those who have died (while in living memory, as opposed to the 'historical' one), and keep the 'inactive' tag for those who are incarcerated or have otherwise gone silent?

does "inactive" extend to people who have stopped their lolcow antics a long time ago like sammyclassicsonicfan?

Stop them from being bumped.
Is that still necessary in this board, if people want to discuss past cows? If a cow becomes active again (such as getting out of prison or re-appearing) then presumably the thread would get moved out of here anyway.

Does Near/Byuu count? Since he faked his death there's a very low chance he will ever show up again with that alias. Unless he gets exposed for having a new alias he goes under I think he should be considered Inactive as of now.

Would it make more sense to create separate tags to indicate which cows have actually passed compared to the ones who stepped away from their online accounts? For people unfamiliar with some of these names, it's difficult to tell who's actually deceased and who's still around.

Personally I think he should not be on this board out of principle.
