I think you're partly wrong, partly right. I have to disagree here. The psychology of the Trump supporter is one that craves stability, in the aftermath of struggle-and is incapable of operating in a lateral mass movement without being led astray.

If you want "America first" to win-you need a Caesarian figure, who can be invested with near divine adoration, and who can be worthy of the love, and devotion he inspires.

Political movements-need figureheads. In fact, right wing movements can not succeed without them, perhaps because of the inherent psychology involved, or maybe because organization is not possible without the moralizing presence of a leader.

What I see when I see Qanonists and Nick fans-is sheep. And sheep are lost and helpless-easy prey if they don't have one thing.

And that is a shepherd-who will guide, protect, and watch over them.
