You can play one video game series for the rest of your life...Which is it?

Janes Longbow/Longbow II.

If they're the only games I can play since I won't be doing anything else maybe I can finally learn how to play them with the realistic modes.

I would probably say Dragon Quest, only because we have 11 games in the main series not counting all of the spin offs and remakes, and each DQ game is extremely padded out with a fuckton of stuff to do, hell DQ7 is easily ten times the length of an average DQ game.

Quantity over quality. It's why I find myself coming back to FF5.

Super Mario. I was born with and grew up with platformers, and as stale as half of those games are (see the "new" series of games), at least Nintendo tries some other unique things, most recently Super Mario Odyssey, which is fucking fantastic.

Almost all of my top favorites have just gotten fucking AWFUL as the years go on and hasn't made any effort to get any better.
  • Sonic The Hedgehog: With the exception of Mania, each game has gotten worse and worse since the Dreamcast era. Before Mania, the last new Sonic game i thoroughly enjoyed was Sonic Generations on the 3DS, partially due to online matches giving the game replayability, but even THAT is gone because now the lobbies are a ghost town, so that whole "card profile" content is useless since you can't build-up points easily with that.
  • Dance Dance Revolution: I gave up after DDRX because it left a REALLY bad taste in my mouth. I sorta saw the writing on the wall when Supernova 1 and 2 were a thing but still stayed optimistic. Then DDRX's USA Arcade Cabinets were released, which were made out of toothpicks and glue, but the home version for the PS2 was just as bad, if not worse. Konami hasn't released a new home version of DDR since the PS3/Xbox360 (DDR2010), even though they still release arcade games of it to this day, with the latest version being DDR-A20Plus which was released July of last year.
  • Street Fighter: Super Turbo is my game. I grew up with Championship Edition for the Sega Genesis and I love SF2 and all it's iterations to this day. Ultra 4 wasn't bad either, I was thoroughly entertained with that, even though DIMPS (the same people that kept fucking up Sonic) were the ones that made it. I have ZERO interest in SFV due to all the drama-filled bullshit and the "nickle'n'dime" DLC it brought with it, and I avoid 3rd Strike like the plague. However, I have little to no faith in SF6 (if they actually do make one) because nu-Capcom seem to be filled with incompetent morons.
  • Pokemon: SPEAKING OF INCOMPETENT MORONS... GameFreak can go fuck themselves I'm a firm believe that this series peaked with BW/B2W2 and has been going downhill since then. SM/USUM was the last Pokemon game I ever toughed because fuck Sword and Shield and everything bad it brought with it.

FF peaked at IX and has been getting worse and worse ever since. Say what you want about DQ "staying the same" but at least the whole series has been consistently good, unlike FF. Hell even the "bad" DQ games like 6 and 7 are still vastly better games than the bad Final Fantasies like XII and XIII.

That being said tho I still really enjoyed the VII remake, warts and all.

Disgaea
God knows I've been playing disgaea 3 since highschool.

Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines. Got enough mods for that to last me a year and there are new ones and old ones getting updated all the time.

Skyrim.
