I live in a state where you can't pump your own gas. I got a Diesel car just so I could pump my own fuel, which is legal for Diesel. Even have a cardlock account so I don't have to negotiate with the pump jockeys that it's legal for me to pump Diesel.

Also it gets much better mileage, which was better when the Diesel price was the same as gasoline.

I try to never use self-checkout just in case anything gets screwed up; sure, waiting in line is slower, but all those missing codes, items ringing wrong and "you only get sale price if you buy 3"? Not my problem.

I have a few coworkers that are absolutely terrible with money. They'll frequently talk about all the places they go out to eat, all the hangouts they do with friends, and then in the same breath bitch they don't have money for the stuff they "really need", like car repairs. Yet, I'm a horrible person for suggesting some basic bitch financial responsibility stuff like "don't go out to eat all the time" or "maybe cut back on the outings with friends". I know they're venting to just vent, but I'm hoping that if I keep this up they'll get the hint not to vent at me.

I leave work at 5:30 on the fucking dot. I've gotten a few funny looks before for it, sometimes even ducking idle chitchat that goes on past that time.

I have a life, and it doesn't involved staying in the office after hours. I arrive on time, do a solid workload during office hours, and bounce when necessary.

My boss knows what I'm like, and he doesn't try that bullshit with me. The more milquetoast pussies I work with, however, often get dragged into it. It's almost as if not being a pushover fag actually gets you more respect.

I've been overexposed to those stores since I was a child and despite shopping there, anger just bubbles up inside me.
Whoever my mom overheard about shopping there in California should be burned at the stake.

My boss isn't like that either. I'm in IT. It's all the other retards in the building either having something happen or just letting stuff go till the last minute. You could've told me this new hire will be remote the rest of the week and needs his stuff checked over today. You waited until 10 minutes before I leave and the other techs are either busy or on vacation plus his brand new headset wouldnt connect properly
