This is not for making your musculature functionally strong and fit, or about supplementation to bio hack or enhance your health/body and also not about physio/psychological practices to be the most high functioning individual/Dr andrew hubeman. Although, it may include some of these elements. They are not the focus.

This thread is about ensuring your body is taking the attributes of evolution in its defence and survival.

For example:

Ensuring your stomach acid which is one of the strongest amongst animals remains so or gets so, this is to ensure best pathogen defence and efficency of extraction of nutrients in digestion.

Preparing for and after surgery or other medical interventions that are invasive to the body. This would include always take a prebiotic with your course of antibiotics. The gut flora is key to digestion and uptake of nutrients and superior cockroaching when nutrition is hard to find.

It could also be about discussing invasive medical practices such as removal of tonsils, I understand that more information is coming out that it doesn't solve the issue.

If you need to purge/cleanse your body. Not detox. However, say you ingest or have something unwanted enter your body. Be that bad food or thorn. And you need it to get out.

Discussing information like the Weston A Price foundation practices especially around dentistry and nutrition and never having amalgam as the filling and only a composite.

I hope this is clear and interesting. I will hope to post about stomach acid practices and forms of pre digestion to the gut next week.

- Any supplements you take need to be taken with food, or they will be substantially less effective. When you're eating food your stomach releases all of the enzymes to break down a variety of substances. Taking a pill does not start that process.
- Some compounds need to be taken with other compounds to be effective. Tumeric must be mixed with milk or another dairy, for example.
- Tea isn't just for flavor, make sure the herbs you're ingesting won't fuck with your other meds. For example, licorice interacts with a shitload of stuff.
- Laxatives & activated charcoal can make your oral meds stop working / work less effectively. Laxatives will make you piss/shit out the drugs WAY faster than you're meant to, and activated charcoal will absorb the meds and prevent them from ever reaching your blood stream. This includes birth control.
- "Detox" is another word for "laxative"
- The overwhelming majority of cosmetics care is complete marketing horseshit. Most of the molecules in that stuff are too big to get through the skin's barrier. You don't need anything more than fat/oil for moisturizer and beeswax for chapstick and some kind of lye soap.
- Take care of your teeth. You need to remove the plaque that builds up on them. Obviously brushing is most common, but chewing on sticks is also an option. Teeth going to shit not only feels painful, but it can give you heart disease.
- You have a barrier of good bacteria on your skin at all times. Removing this bacteria can cause the bad bacteria to move in instead. Washing too often can fuck up your skin.
- Any oil stored in a clear container will go rancid. Unsaturated fats tend to go rancid faster than saturated fats. Rancid oils cause inflammation in the body and make you feel like shit. Heat will also cause oils to go rancid.
- Your joints need collagen. The best way to get collagen is eating bone stock or chicken feet, any part of the animal that has gelatin/collagen. A vegetarian diet will destroy your joints if you work out regularly.
- Know what kind of energy you need, and eat accordingly. Carbs give you immediate energy that gets stored quickly if not used, fat gives you a slower burn energy over time, and protein is somewhere in between. If you're not doing physical activity, you shouldn't be consuming a lot of carbs. But if you are, if you're hiking or hunting or chopping wood, you'll want carbs.

Your body can make its own collagen. You don't have to eat meat to do that, you just need protein which your body can reassemble as needed. You do, however, need vitamin C to make collagen. Your body does not make that, because humans suck.

Vegans may have trouble getting enough protein, especially for an active lifestyle, and maybe eating collagen or gelatin makes aure you're getting some convenient nutrition, but just saying, you don't *have* to eat collagen to make collagen.


Skin care products where you slather collagen on your skin are just silly.
