Even though if I saw one in the wild I'd run, raccoons are among the cuter woodland animals.
They're like panda/cats, if they were a thing. If they were domesticated I wouldn't hesitate to keep one as a pet.
They're essentially miniature bears, like if someone somehow shrunk a grizzly bear to cat size, colored its fur grey and gave it a facemask that would essentially be a raccoon. They think like them, act like them, basically are them except smaller and cuter basically don't do anything to a raccoon you wouldn't do to say a black bear or grizzly bear.They are also afraid of practically fucking nothing and will rip apart dogs four times their size. They're not to be trifled with.
They are actually related, not in the same genus but still related nontheless.
