Your post just made me look up this. https://youtu.be/DC2QaWmat7A?si=i3PyVXHuv4vHMWwQ
I haven't seen it since it came out and it brought back so many cringe memories.
It was The Internet Ruined My Life on Sy-fy.Didn't Zoe Quin or John Walker Flynt have a documentary made about how they got cyberbullied that was a shitshow?
Oh MAN! I will never forget this one. I was hanging out with a big group of friends drinking and browsing Netflix when this popped up. This is a group of about 8-10 people. Every single one of us was super interigued by a full length alt-history where the South successfully suceeded. I remember all of us discussing are theories on which theories we knew about would happen; like when slavery would be ended in the south, what would they do about Mexico/Spain, how World War 1 would play out. Boarders, if we would be allies, the soviet union ect. We were all super physched! We had too even "Shhhh" the group multiple times to start the movie! (Half of us were in college/Veterans, or both)Do mockumentaries count? Cause i'll throw this one in:
Just once i'd like to go to some college campus and set up a showing of this presented as a real documentary and watch people blow a gasket cause they're idiots who don't know they're being fucked with
Did that fat fuck really edit it to make it look like he was showing the guy a picture of a victim when he clearly filmed it later? Wow what a fucking faggot.
It's crazy looking back how weak these arguments are and how badly all these early 2000s shitlibs aged.
This. There's also his film 'The Big One' where he exposed the Clintons which is wild. My favorite part was where he sent her checks from the KKK and NAMBLA and she cashed them all.I fully understand and won't argue your point for the majority of MM's work with one noteworthy exception; Roger and Me. This was one of his first docs and while his "style" is still present its not as cringy as his later stuff. Its also one of the few docs that covers the "rusting of the belt of America" era and he does a pretty decent job of objectively covering the downfall/out-sourcing of the Motor City.
In hindsight, it's kind of funny how this doc is both conservative and liberal in nature. It argues that white people are bad or whatever, but also that elites are attempting to destroy the family structure and impose homosexuality.
The enemy of my enemy, I guess. In hindsight, it's kind of funny how this doc is both conservative and liberal in nature. It argues that white people are bad or whatever, but also that elites are attempting to destroy the family structure and impose homosexuality.
