Your first ever game?

This thing:

I played it when I was like five on a friend's Game Boy. I wouldn't get my own console until a few years later.

The first game I remember playing is Wolfenstein. It always stuck out in my head because it was rated PG-13 and I thought it was awesome that I could play a PG-13 game because I couldn't watch the movies.

Also possibly a game on NES called Kung Fu.

It was either Kings Quest 2 or a text adventure Wonderland. It's hard to recall but it started a love affair that's lasted to this day. Indoor kids ftw

I miss early 90's adventure games so much. Adventure Game Studio (big blue cup) puts out some really fun ones though along with some fantastic remakes. I totally recommend the site of anyone is also a fan of the old school genre.

Yes it was a game designed for shameless brand plugging, but it was still the first for me.

When i was About 5/6 my dad bought me my first ever console, a second hand Play Station 1.
The first games i got for it was Alien trilogy and blayblade.

My first ever game (at 4 years old) was a little known bad boy on the Mac called Beyond Dark Castle. You play as some guy escaping from a dungeon. The graphics were quite lush at the time (well, for a 4-color Macintosh with 2mb of RAM) and it played a lovely version of Tocatta and Fugue in Dm on the system speaker. I don't know why we owned it. We didn't have any video games or consoles in the house. I still have my copy of it, although I don't know how long floppies were meant to last -- and I don't have a keyboard or mouse for the mac. The memory still lives on though...

Here's a picture of the sickness:

I'm a Kiwi Farmer, so what else could my first game have been besides Sonic the Hedgehog?

Technically, that wasn't the first game I ever played, but it was one of the first I ever owned. I played arcade games beforehand.

my very first game was probably some old obscure educational game for pc

the first console game i played was this

Super Mario Brothers on the NES, in that three-in-one cartridge that came with the NES system and also included Duck Hunt and some kick-ass Track and Field game since you also got a zapper and that huge-ass powerpad mat that eight people could run (in place) on at a time, like some kind of proto-DDR.

I think I sperged harder over Sonic the Hedgehog (:autism:) and Doom a year or two later, though.

EDIT: I can't remember if I played Doom before I played Wolfenstein 3D or not, though I know Wolf3D is older. I remember I didn't play regular wolf3d, but a bizarre mod that turned the enemies into Street Fighter characters.
