This was mine. No, not kidding - I was digging through Nintendo Power magazines at a library a few towns away sometime in early '05 and actually read this letter back when it was new. Even at the time, I was a bit put off by his calling himself a "frustrated virgin" in a kids' magazine. Of course, I never would've guessed what a horrific experience the unfiltered, uncensored "Christian C." would turn out to be.

It would be a couple of years later before I discovered that Chris was an Internet phenomenon. Through... TV Tropes, I regret to say.

So, how did you guys first come into contact with Our Pet Lolcow?

I got into him the same week Bob died. What a time to do it huh? I found him through ED, but I totally forget how I got to ED.

Also, if they announced the winner of the Sonic contest before a commercial, then I may have seen his name all the way back then...

I saw a YouTube poop of Madman Rising, then I saw the original Madman Rising and was both horrified and confused by him. A few days later I found the CWCki and have been fascinated by him ever since.

I was at trombonista's house one night in summer 2010, and she showed me who Chris was. The next summer, we were checking the cwcki, and together we saw the beginning of the calling out saga right before our eyes. It was momentous. The best thing about Chris is that I can share him with one of my best friends!

A podcast I listen to talked about him for like 10 minutes in one of their episodes back in April 2012. Intrigued, I googled "Sonichu", found the CWCki, and began reading. Haven't stopped reading since :)

I was looking up an old '95ish Nintendo Power article that had a kid's crudely drawn picture of the master sword in a stone with the Zelda logo overtop and the letter being from the kid's dad. The dad explained that his son was an "autist" and that the world would probably be better if everyone had just a little autism. I just thought autist was another word for "artist" when I originally read it, but 16 years later I googled "autistic Nintendo Power article". Instead, I found the Homemade NP Issue of Fail in all its glory an then got a head trip when I realized the kid that drew it was still being actively watched.

Yeah, I remember the Nintendo Power article, too. I remember sitting on my toilet, taking a shit (strangely appropriate, I guess) when I read the column and basically said, "what the fuck?" Still, I envisioned Chris as being a somewhat awkward, thin, college kid with glasses who was really pretty harmless.

As far as Christory itself, I was clicking on links on ED one day, specifically reading about Chase the Hedgehog and other folks with Sonic OCs. I followed the link to Chris-chan and the rest is history. I got on board during the end of the Liquid Saga.

I was on a bad fanfiction forum and someone mentioned Sonichu. So being a curious high schooler, I looked it up and discovered CWC in the middle of the Ivy saga. I would look forward to his videos when he uploaded them almost daily. I miss the good ol days.

I found Chris during the golden age of 2009 - ED had him as the featured article around March when he was producing videos almost daily. I'm actually surprised so many folks found him during the dry spells and have still followed him.

There was this reviewer named the Hardcore Kid who did a countdown of the Top 10 Youtube Failures and Chris was number 2 (below Fred). He talked about Chris, Sonichu, and his poor excuse of using autism as an excuse for everything. He talked about Chris' youtube channel and how he was in for a big surprise. He even showed the video where Bob walked into the room with a screaming Chris and where he threatened to sue Nintendo for rejecting "true love".

Back when Chasethehedgehog was a deviantART phenomenon and lolcow, I came across a video on YouTube where someone was complaining about him. He mention CWC, and showed the picture of him in the diapers. I proceeded to look him up and found the ED article and went from there. This was when the Liquid saga was happening.

When I first saw him on ED, I thought "meh, just some other lulzcow". A few months later I reread his article and noticed that there was a link to the CWCki at the bottom.

And that was the beginning of my downward spiral into the world of CWCdom.
