Your first exposure to Chris

I was bored at work and browsing ED when I happened upon his article. I was hooked ever since.

I used to read about YouTube comments related to Chris and at that time I thought it referred to Chris Thorndyke.

The time when I knew what Chris is all about is when I watched BLACKBusterCritic's Sonic Brainfart video about him.

I was watching a YouTube parody of Cupcakes (a pony fic) and in the comments, someone posted something a bit like this:
"You think this bad, bronies? You haven't seen anything. No true horror like Chris-Chan". And in a reply was someone saying not google him, so naturally I did. I stumbled upon an article on some random website about him and Sonichu. The article was pretty old at the time, pretty much stopping at when he vandalised Wikipedia. From there I went to TVTropes, looking up Sonichu and found the CWCki later on. I saw a picture of him there and realised I'd seen him in a Harry Partridge video.

I remember it was after a big fight with my fiancé one night back in January of last year. I was with a friend just talking about life.. At some point, he asked me if I had ever heard of Chris. He brings up YouTube and plays me That is My House. I remember watching it, completely out of context, and being confused as to what it was that I was watching. About the time that he started jumping up and down, I asked my friend if this guy was for real, or if it was someone playing a character for views. The fact that his father then walked in seemed to legitimize that for me.

I found the CWCki about a month or two later when I thought about it again, and I've been visiting semi regularly ever since. I guess it was my friend's way of saying, "Hey, no matter how bad things get, remember that it's still better than this guy's life."

An SA thread a few years back, been following him and a couple other lolcows off and on for a few years

I'm certain I read his letter(s) in Nintendo Power, but none of them stuck. The first time I was aware of Chris as a curiosity, was probably mid 2008 when he hit the ED windshield. I was linked to it by a friend in the gaming industry, who eventually lead me to one of the earlier Yuku versions of this forum before he got permabanned from it and 789. Despite my reasonably-frequent activity here, I still don't consider myself that deeply involved in Christory. It's one of a few other online passtimes I have, when I'm pretending to work.

I don't exactly remember the year, but I do know I was about halfway through high school when I first learned about Chris.

It was through this Youtube video made by someone called "Lilylivers", she liked to make rant videos and she was talking about Sonichu. What really piqued my interest though is her mentioning that Chris was autistic. I myself am autistic, and I became interested in how this guy apparently uses it like a crutch. So, I decided to do a little research on him and Sonichu.

And now here I am.

I first heard of him in late 2007 or early 2008 when he was mentioned on the Something Awful forums. That was when I first saw his Future Message video. At that point he still had his original Sonichu YouTube account and his original MySpace page (I think his dating requirements were written on his MySpace page).

I think I also discovered him through Linkara's video "Top 15 Comics I'll Never Review". I think it must've been early 2011, because I got involved in the old forums right before the tomgirl stuff was leaked.

As a side note, Chris helped me get an A in my media ethics class. At the end of the semester, we had to do a presentation on a topic of our choice, and I chose Chris, because Chris was/is a perfect example of everything we aren't supposed to do on social media. Chris literally hit every topic we covered (which included plagiarism, copyright, defamation, etc).

This video was listed on poetv.com back in 2008, and it was my first exposure to Chris:

I was hooked instantly. I've always been fascinated by internet weirdos, and poetv was the Youtube leg of a site (portal of evil) that used to catalogue nothing but weird online folks. I found the ED page immediately after and I've followed Chris ever since.

I think the first time I ever saw Chris was shortly after he was first discovered in 2007. I might be wrong, but I very distinctly recall seeing this picture

On SomethingAwful's front page news shortly after graduating high school. Either way, I never actually looked him up afterwards. I wouldn't really discover the horrors of CWC till 2010, when I stumbled on this YTMND; http://chrischanstaresintoyoursoul.ytmnd.com

Did a google search on him and didn't ignore the results. I've never regretted it.

May 12 2009.

I was listening to the Toucher and Rich radio show on WBCN Boston while driving in to work. They did a bit about Chris which feature his 'For My Sweetest Ivy' video, interspersed with commentary and (appropriately enough) clips from 'Goodbye Horses'.

I laughed so hard at times I was afraid that I was going to drive off the road. I thought this HAD to be a bit, there's no way anyone could be this fucked up; that is, until I got home and Googled the 'I've Got a Fish' video. I found Chris from there, then the ED page, and the rest is history (Christory).

You can read the transcript of the show here (CWCki page):http://www.sonichu.com/cwcki/Toucher_and_Rich_Segment

You can listen here:
http://www.mediafire.com/play/vpk4u...,+12+de+mayo+de+2009+a+las+8+de+la+mañana.mp3

There is a link on the CWCki page linked above where you can download it. It's worth a listen. These guys did an amazing job (despite getting a few of the cast of characters mixed up). One of the best Chris bits ever.

Way back when they used to spam his comics on /v//co/ and /b/. Following the bread crumbs lead me to ED just in time for the Megan drama.

First time I learned about Chris-Chan was in about 2008, while reading his ED page. Sadly, I ignored his years of glory and only started really following his antics in late December 2012. What a shame.

Had a RP partner who introduced me to him. I never wasn't interested until I started to delve more into him out of boredom. And here I am! *yawn*

When I was browsing through DeviantArt, I stumbled upon his works. I assumed it was a kid who drew it at first not a manchild. I didn't even know how fucked up he was until later on.

My friend and I are both Aspies and he told me that Chris-chan believes that people with Asperger's Syndrome are imposters that steal from real autistic people. Unsurprised to say, a few people in Autism forums say that Chris gives Autistics a bad name.

ED back in 2008. Like Asperchu Super Fan, golden age. I remember being in IRC just as new videos would break. Good times.

Kinda dumb, but when I was like 13 I was having trouble with a boss in deadrising 2 so I looked him up to find out a good way to beat him. On his page on the website it mentioned something about the boss being based on Chris or something like that and had a link to the cwcki. Md I've been stalking a fat autistic manchild ever since!

I was reading a blog called "internet for dummies"(or something like that) when I notice an article about a shitty comic and it's creator. The blog called Chris racist, homophobic, and says he hates all men for stolling his chances to get a sweetheart. After that I met CWCki.
