For me it was a toss-up between Ico and Onimusha 2.

I would also consider GTA Vice City, but fuck Rockstar.

GTA3, then San Andreas. Vice city was good to play with the boys too.
Tony hawks, all of them but mostly underground. Another pass the controller classic.

And FFX for alone autistic hours long sessions.

Shout out to SSX tricky too, loved that game. The Eyetoy was fun too, like wii years before wii.

JRPG fat here. It was Shadow Hearts, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, and Persona 3-4 and Okage.

I'd also add Metal Arms: Glitch in the System as the PS2 version was the one I grew up with. But the XBOX version is better.
