i don't give a shit about what anyone says, welcome to the black parade is a fantastic album. even when i was like 13 and it first came out i knew i should be embarrassed for liking MCR (and i was) but i don't care anymore

do vocaloids count as embarrassing? they have the most irritating fandom

there's a good sizable chunk of my collection that has bullshit kawaii anime openings to animes i've never watched nor have any desire to watch

oh, and this was my most played song on my itunes for years

I love good bad movies,

Rocky IV, water world etc

I even secretly love historical abomination movies (being a history lover)

Brave heart, the patriot etc My god nothing is more painful then those movies from a historical view point!

yet give me a beer and some pop corn and i will enjoy myself in being full of historical rage!

:)

So... I dunno... I really am worried for my own mental sanity at this point.

Y'see, I work in a "multimedia" company, which also owns six radio stations. I get exposed to whatever is the latest in the pop music world, whether I like it or not...

...and I think I'm starting to like Pitbull. First it was Timber...
...which should not work... but honestly I enjoyed it's stupid, happy nature. I wrote it off as just a lark since it sounded a bit different from anything else on the radio at that time.

And then... THIS.
There is NO conceivable reason why I should like this song. Like the previous song with Ke$ha, I don't like either her or Pitbull, but somehow it worked. I really can't stand Austin Mahone, and I still think Pitbull is a weird, little, talentless, shaved weasel of a man...

...and yet this song works for me. Why. WHY.

WHAT IN THE EVERLOVING FUCK DID YOU DO TO ME, PITBULL?!

My roommate is on vacation for the weekend. I don't think he'd come back at 8:30 AM, so I don't think he'd catch me singing along to this, but there's still a chance... Fuck it, I'll roll the dice on this one.

Well, my musical tastes are pretty wide ranging. I listen to a lot of metal, goth, country, ethnic/'world' music (Middle Eastern, African, South Asian, Balkan, Latino), some electronica, some jazz...

But you know what, I'll also admit that Taylor Swift has a pretty voice and at least some of her songs are catchy. And nobody who knows me in person would expect that, so I suppose that counts as a guilty pleasure then.

Finnish folk metal. Namely Korpiklaani, just because of how dumb and over the top it all is. Oh, and that every other song is about either alcohol or paganism.

Seriously, listen to this shit. It's amazing in a weird way.

I'm big on metal and classic rock, but I cannot deny that Lief Garret is made for dancing

I'm big on classic rock, but I also have a love of disco. I know those two genres are pretty much antithetical. I get shit about it from pretty much all of my friends, and my dad, stepdad, and girlfriend's dad all owned "Disco Sucks" t-shirts back in the day. So on top of the fact that nobody seems to like it (and I guess also because of it), I often find myself listening to what is essentially dance music by myself. Something about that strikes me as being incredibly depressing.

I was going to say disco myself!

You know, I get that disco was often cheesy, and that it's not everyone's taste. And maybe it had overstayed its welcome by 1979/80.

However, the anti-disco backlash was really over the top. Burning disco albums at a ballgame? Come on. If you don't like disco, just don't listen to it.

I don't get why disco gets so much shit nowadays.

I absolutely enjoy the looks I get when people go through my music. My musical tastes range from current Pop/Rock/Country to older stuff. And a lot of JPop and KPop. But these are the ones that I unabashedly love:

I Want It That Way - Backstreet Boys
Breakfast at Tiffany's - Deep Blue Something
Dragostea Din Tei - Haiducii
I Pray For You - Jaron and The Long Road To Love
Whoomp There It It - Tag Team
Theme from Azumanga Daioh
Sailor Moon Memorial Box tracklist
Stars are Blind - Paris Hilton

There's nothing at all wrong with Breakfast At Tiffany's. That's the era of '90s music I like also.

"Two Princes" by the Spin Doctors is a favorite of mine, but it seems to get a lot of criticism for reasons I don't quite fathom.

My guilty pleasures?

-Ponystomp music, especially remixes
-Guns n' Roses
-The Tremors movies
-The Predator movies
-Cheap pasta, I love my Chef Boyardee.
