Sometimes I find myself listening to 80s synth-y music, lately I've been leaning towards some of Alan Parson Project's stuff from the 1980s like Vulture Culture and Stereotomy.
Also, I'm not embarrassed, but I've been listening to Phish for the last few months and just started listening to the Grateful Dead a few weeks ago. I freaking love it. :medallion:

I don't know if it's popular anymore to like John Mayer, and I guess it's not exactly a guilty pleasure since I'm very open about it, but I love John Mayer. I guess from a guitarist/wannabe-songwriter's perspective, he does some interesting and complex shit (some of his fingerstyle songs he does flawlessly while simultaneously singing and it boggles my mind). I own pretty much everything he owns.

Also, darkhorse816, I love you for having a Vince Noir/Noel Fielding avatar, and we should be married.

I have some Hilary Duff albums from when I was ten and I still listen to them on occasion...

Japanese music. JAM Project is a perennial favorite of mine.

I have a real soft spot for 90s alternative, like Foo Fighters and Fuel.

Also, I love super poppy pop punk like The Wonder Years, Set Your Goals and Four Year Strong.

Only if you get a Julian Barratt/Howard Moon avatar.

My ultimate guilty plessure is that sexy Swedish beast Gunther and his classic "Ding Ding Dong":

I irrationally love this song, and I love listening to this on repeat all day.

Ke$ha, a few Maroon 5 songs, essentially the entire "Monkey Business" album by the Black Eyed Peas, LOTS of songs by Lady Gaga, Pink, Garbage, Peaches, Adele, Lana Del Rey... Honestly I seem to have a song by every generally disliked singer. For Justin Bieber it's "Boyfriend" (Mainly for the chorus) and for Miley Cyrus it's "Party in the USA", My Chemical Romance's "Teenagers" and "The Black Parade" were REALLY good IMO and for Katy Perry I really enjoyed "Last Friday Night"... Oh, and LMFAO. I still like Party Rock Anthem and "Every Day I'm..." remixes, and I LOVE "Yes". Seriously love that song. I imagine slowly pulling out of a garage in a custom VW New Beetle RSi convertible and cruising a neon saturated strip to that song. .w.;

I'm sure there are more, but those in particular come to mind. I'm particularly fond of chiptunes, especially those done on a Commodore Amiga machine, but IDK if they count as "guilty" really.

I'm a closet Boxxy fan.

No one will ever be able to convince me that Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" isn't one of the single greatest pieces of music ever recorded.

"In another life" is a better song.

I listen to Dragonforce, ELO, ABBA, and the Marshall Tucker Band.

anything from the rocky soundtracks.

THIS.

Despite being a die-hard metalhead, I am partial to a lot of 80's cheese...and for some reason Shania Twain. Peter Tagtgren puts it better than I ever could (I'm so glad I wasn't the only one!) -
