have you guys seen this video series by Cabbage? it's a deep dive into the technical details of the QBZ-191. It actually looks like a very cool firearm.
it's a short-stroke piston gun with a BCG that's kinda similar to an AR, except it has a locking lever for the cam pin as well as some changes to the locking lugs, and an FCG that kinda looks like an AK.
I think the only change I'd make is to flip the charging handle to the other side of the gun and make it non-reciprocating. I would also probably incorporate a forward assist into the charging handle, a la the XCR.
I know the chinks have a reputation, but I actually think they did well here.
