This isn't even an exaggeration. I once saw some redditor say the "Hitler was a socialist" argument that libertarians like to use was actually a "neo-nazi talking point". Someone argued that that didn't make any sense because then neo-nazis would hate Hitler, but that didn't matter to the reddit mob who downvoted the latter.

Literally, you can’t dissent on Reddit because you get banned and in my expirence, is even more toxic than on Twitter/X.
I stopped using Reddit many many years ago because of some dumbass mods who banned me on a subreddit over my ideology. These bastards can go rot in hell.
It’s also gotten really toxic and totalitarian since I left Reddit years ago. I go on frontpage, I see nothing but socialist or woke shit.

Reddit can be useful for some things and I find that if you stick to incredibly specific topics you won't run into a lot of the things OP complains about.

.... To answer the topic question tho, the biggest thing I hate about reddit is when subs have autistic rules you must abide by or immediately get your thread locked/post deleted. A common example is "any questions related to X must go in the stickied megathread instead of starting a new topic!" or "if your question remotely sounds like X then it should go in X existing topic."

I've had a lot of cases where a post of mine got false-flagged because some janny thought it sounded like it was about an existing topic but it was actually something completely different. And anyway such rules are fucking stupid because asking in an existing topic means you're less likely to get noticed and answered. Nine times out of ten I'm looking for something tech support related, not something I can afford to waste time on.

I hate reddit because I know exactly what people will say on a thread before clicking on it. Reddit is peak hivemind, its only interesting when people have dissenting opinions, which are NEVER on the main subs.

I also hate that it and discord have replaced real forums, and when I search for something specific related to gaming, the top result is either a fucking wikia, or reddit.

I got banned from r/DCComics for telling someone they were a pervert for concerning themselves with 10 year old Jonathan Kent's sexuality and gender.
If I want to talk about a specific show or manga, or anime, its always overrun with coomers.

Example: New chapter of Oshi No Ko comes out yesterday. Has a really banging cliff hanger. Head on over to the subreddit and all anyone wants to do is ship the two sibling main characters. They have this really weird fetish where, the brother is going to fuck the sister, and she's going to give birth to their reincarnated mother and its fucking constantly. Part of it I get, the writer has been teasing that from the Sister's PoV, but the tone of the manga made it clear like 80 chapters ago that it wasn't going to happen. Yet all context is ignored in favor of fetish chasing.

Some of the worst content ever produced, if it can even be called content. The only way to make reddit tolerable is to exclusively use niche boards and block anything else that pops up.

I made a reddit account last year for some minor hobby subreddit. Tried posting in it, got an automatic "Your account is too new to post" message.

Waited a while and tried posting again, another automated message "Your comment karma is too low to post". How does one get comment karma? Post comments and hope some retard upvotes your comment. Posted 10 comments that had some effort put into them. Zero engagement, while typical retard reddit memes (can confirm, username checks out etc) got six million updoots.

Deleted my account and never looked back. Fuck reddit.

I personally hate Reddit's stupid karma system. It's the kind of the system that literally forces you to be mindless, bland, soy-laced - because if you don't follow the majority opinion then you cannot fucking post or do anything. If karma was removed and updoot/downdoot made a simple positive/negative statistics meter, then Reddit would be three times better. Just from that alone.
What condemns Reddit to absolutely unusable is the massive banning of "unmoderated" subs that don't fit the Reddit (((zeitgeist))), enforced by useful idiots like r/AHS, r/LateStageCapitalism and other troon-riddled libtard-infested subreddits. Long gone are the days when the only thing that would earn a ban off Reddit was legally dubious shit like jailbait, now any sub (and I do mean any sub) may be banned at any moment.

This shit right here. How the fuck am I supposed to be a member and contribute if I can only have one approved fucking opinion and can't even post in 95% of subs unless I suck nigger and tranny dick and scream "fuck drumpftft!!!!!!1!!" every other post? It's the fucking gayest shit to ever exist and I hope everyone who uses the shit unironically (I'm not attacking niche shit where there's really no where else to go) dies in the most gruesome and horrific ways imaginable for being such disgusting and worthless nigger cattle.

• All the highest rated posts are shit that's vaguely related to the topic instead of having an actual discussion; followed by some stupid fucking reference or pun as the highest rated comment in the replies and other users sucking them off in the comments.
• The karma system discourages actual discussion and instead encourages hivemind like discussion.
• It's users there are somehow more annoying and autistic than 4chans.
• The sites nature disallows OC and that's just horrible for any community.
• Actual tranny jannies with delusions of grandeur.
• Absolutely not funny in the slightest
