Pulled one of these guys out of a crane game, first time I got anything from those in my whole life and it was well worth it. He's now sitting on the bed, looking excessively mad

I have a shark that is really good size to hold. kind of cool cause the tag said its made out of plastic bottles, that the whole brand uses recycled plastic from oceans, turned into fiber and made into different animals. really good shape and quality, probably the best sort of animal shaped toy
100% agree shark shape is great for holding and I may or may not have gotten carried away with this idea.
Sharks, stingrays, & other odd creatures make up most of my collection. Hope this pic works, I’m new & do not know what I’m doing.

Edit to add this kiwi because it seems appropriate.

I have a C'thulhu plushie that I got when I was a teen in a local Comic-con. I fucking love that thing and they can pry it off my cold, dead hands. I donated all the rest when I turned 20 but that stupid stuffed octopus with wings will stay with me.

I bought a life-size Stitch plush at a Disney Store closing sale last year. He guards my whiskey.

I have lots of old Build-a-Bears in the attic somewhere and an early childhood teddy bear that sits on a shelf. I sold or donated a lot of stuff in early 2020 out of boredom from lockdown, but the Build-a-Bears are a bit more emotionally important to just get rid of.

I've got this old Build-A-Bear plush doll whose been around for years. Named it Button and I still have it sitting around in my room with seasonal clothes on. I had one of those sound boxes stuffed in so he could bark, but it died many moons ago.

The plush in question. Simple yet one of the cutest lil' guys ever.

I have this exact dog somewhere in the attic. He was one of my favorites.

Holy shit. I am mega jealous of your sea creature bookcase.

While going to look for some sea creature plush that Amuse makes, I found they are making a super cute moth that releases in September. The Japanese plush tend to be on the cuter side, but they're good quality.

Another plush company I saw is Avocatt, I can't attest to the quality but they look pretty solid in terms of build. I quite like the cows.

Sorry for sperging about stuffed animals in this thread OTL

it's an alpaca. she's called Kathryn.
bought her from the salvation army last week. therefore she's transphobic also
Kathryn the alpaca hates trans people.

>tfw no stuffed animal having bf
It is literally the most cutest thing to know that men have stuffed animals. I think you just awoken something in me.

I don't know if it counts, but I have a few video game related plushies. I got pokemon and kirby, but I just use them for decoration.

I don't collect too many plushies and even though they're super cute, I attempt to keep less stuff. This doesn't mean I don't have any plushies though. I mostly thrift, since if I get one, it'll be a lucky find and cheap. And I've found mostly new ones which is a plus.

Got this Plusheen, took the sweater off though.

This one hangs above my desk.

This one hangs out with Plusheen, about the same size.

I had a whole journey with this large man, getting him all cleaned up, but my hamster chewed up his crotch. RIP.

And this little man came with a graduation outfit, so removed that too.

I have this blue bear I found on the ground that I keep around for no good reason, just really like it. I have some plushes I mean to get rid of, like some old Pokemon ones. I have a Charizard and Bulbasaur stashed away. Also some other keychain Rilakkumas I can't just give up, since I'd like to maybe sell them but that's work.

My prized stuffed animal, would have to be Mattie the Cat, a TY Beanie Baby that has been through hell and back. f2a1329b-b2d1-4652-95d3-60d7b6d160fd_1.425c8e518bce0852cb69243c0191721c.jpg
Got him in a hospital after a seizure when I was seven since my other stuffy, a Doodle Bear I named Princess Diana, wasn't with me. My mom said she thought Mattie looked like a drowned rat and didn't get why I wanted him.

He's probably unrecognizable now, since he had an eye melt on a radiator and another cracked when I threw him as a child. So he had two eyes replaced, took forever to find something similar, but I went on a crusade with my grandpa to find a pair. He's also been washed a bunch and been tossed around on the playground a ton. When I would visit old elementary school teachers, they would ask how he's doing..heh. I still have him and I'm gay so he'll be coming to the grave with me. He sits above my desk and is in retirement, but if shit gets bad he gets to come out of retirement for a day or two. If I could only have so many things, he's one of them. His little poem always gets me a bit:

"Rub my tummy and you will see
Just how playful I can be
I’m warm and kind and faithful too
I’d like to curl up next to you!"

On my mums somewhat recent death, I "inherited" all of my old childhood teddies that I haven't seen in.... a very long time.

No I absolutely did not cry seeing my battered old 101 dalmation teddy "penny". Not me, no way!

I don't want to store them but I just can't bring myself to get rid of them. Arghh!

I had similar a few years back. I don't know about where you are or live but near me I found a women's aid which took my donated toys and put them in care packages for children whose mother's are in DV shelters.

I like knowing they may have bought comfort to a kid going through hell. Made it easier to let some of them go.

That might be a good idea though I feel like these ones are too… used. They are very old and very grubby now after having been sat in a bin bag in my mums loft for so long. I might see if I can sort out some of the nicer not-so sentimental ones (if there are any!) to donate. :)

…It’s odd isn’t it? The connection we can feel to some fluff and cotton.

Oh I totally agree. I'm moving house this weekend. And you know how you have that last box of stuff to box up that you leave til end? Mine will have my stuffed toys in as well as tools, loo roll, tea bags and alum keys and lightbulbs 😂

That’s so cute that they are coming with you in your last box!… I don’t have any sort of “current attachment”… like, I have locked them in a trunk and I will probably not open that trunk for years so it seems almost stupid to keep them…. Yet the idea of not having them in the house makes me uneasy.

We moved last month! Please please add some sort of disinfectant to that box, some people are nasty and you don’t want to be touching anything that they have even looked at without bleaching it first! Good luck with the move :)
