Threw Pikachu in the wash with the rest of my laundry today and he looked so much nicer, so I gave everyone a wash.
Here's Sam (the husky my grandma got from Canada) and his homies who came from Mervyn's during Christmas of '99.
Sonic was aquired at a Denny's, Pikachu and Jigglypuff are both from the late 90's as well. The Linux penguin came from some kind of Computer Guy training my dad went to, I don't remember when.

The beanie gang, sadly in the process of washing them their tags disintegrated and now their individual value has gone from $1 to $0.75.

Do the legs have wires? It would be fun to put them in goofy little poses for sure!

I bought this thing last year. TBH, it took over a month to arrive and I was almost sure I got conned until it arrived. I love him. View attachment 3317778
"lifelike"
lol what kind of cats have these people met?

Here's my contribution, from a seller on Etsy, the stitching is very nicely done.

I don't usually buy items that aren't related to food, books, or drawing supplies, but the ears are very poofy, so I had to bite.

I actually only have the little one but it's legs are posable!

I think I've had this one since I was born. I still have it on a shelf in my closet. Sorry for the terrible picture quality, I moved to a dumbphone cuz they have (marginally) better privacy and less stuff to distract me. DSC_0000008 (1).jpg

You know that viral tweet about the $500 mareep plush? That is the relationship between my partner and I (except I refuse to spend more than $50 on a plushie) because my queen bed has barely enough space for two people as I have many large plushies.

I am legit a lil autistic over being comfy. The feeling of being surrounded by warm soft things and doing something you love like playing games or knitting is unmatched. A few years ago I found a 36" pink easter peeps plush at the seasonal section of a pharmacy. It was like $60, and being a broke college student I didn't buy it. But after Easter I came back and it was 75% off. I picked that shit up so fast. It is the best plushie I ever had: large, soft, weighted bottom so it can stand up on itself. You could use it to support your back or just cuddle it while watching a movie. Hugging it while putting your head between the ears is amazing. Not my pic but here it is in a shopping cart so you can see how massive it is. Giant-Peeps.jpg
I regretted not picking up two. So every easter since that, I scoured online looking for another. And lo and behold, this year an internet friend who works at Walmart said she saw them at her store. So I drove to a few in my area and they did, and in many different colors for $30 each. It's a little less firm compared as the first one, but it's just as massive and even a bit fluffier. The duo is constantly on my bed between the ~20in Kirby I got two Christmases ago.

This thread is very adorable and comfy and I love it.

I have a few stuffed toys that I'm particularly attached to, the primary one being a little plush lobster that my best friend (who lives in Boston, thus the lobster lmfao) got me for my birthday about five years ago. His name is Phillip and I sleep with him every night. I've also got a stuffed orange tabby cat that I've had since I was a wee baby that I love and is all soft from use over the years. There's also a stuffed toy version of Balto the sled dog that I got when I visited the museum when I was like 5 that I adore.

Saw one of these dudes abandoned at the self-checkout aisle in Acme and couldn't help myself. I keep calling him "Little Chow" so I guess that's his name.

(note: they are cheaper in store as opposed to online, iirc this guy was about 8 dollars VS 13 dollars online)

Here’s a frog wearing a cat costume that I hand made:

I make a lot of plush and I needed a test subject so I could try out a new method for appliqué (which you’ll see in the eyes). Thus, he was born. In case anyone notices, yes, he is propped up against a Neopets blanket.

I bought one of those huge Squishmallows the other day. They are really satisfying to squish and they make for excellent pillows. Horrendously ugly, yes, but they do their job very well.

I have one of the original Lion King toys and it’s been one of my favorite toys. It has a bladder in it that when squeezed made a purring noise but unfortunately broke at some point. She’s also horribly heat damaged as my mom put her in the drier at some point and made her fur corse.

These two were given to me by my late grandpa. Got a magnet in both their noses so they kiss lol

I miss that flat painted button eye look.

I have a few fugglers, Totoros and this Rei:

But one I will never get rid of is a ladybug I got from a schoolmate when I was 5, it's yellow and even though I hate that color, it's the only yellow thing I love. I still remember her name and how she looked, I really liked her. She was non-verbal but never had trouble in holding my hand and I don't know how, but I could understand her perfectly, even though she didn't talk at all. It was been 19 years since the last time I saw her and I wonder if she's okay, but she has a special place in my heart and I will take that old ladybug in the grave with me.

Aww, I had the kissing lion plushies way back when! I had a Simba plushie when I was really little, there's a few baby pics of me holding it. I think he might have fallen apart from too much baby-proximity.
