Question: why the fuck were Pillow Pets designed to be ephemeral rubbish? Seriously, those things were fucking adorable as hell and kinda practical. Too bad they were never designed to support the weight of a human head as an actual fucking pillow. I think the monkey pillow I had when I was a teenager ended up being unusable after I started college.

I got a large wolf plush from the thrifts store three weeks ago, he's now my sleeping buddy.

I got a couple new friends to add to my small collection that lives with me.

This guy. He’s more of a pastel yellow with a pastel blue skirt and horns. His name is Pudding and lives on our headboard.

Just got her in the mail the other day. The seller included a few paper cranes and a personalized thank you. Was really sweet to see after a shift at work.

I have so many soft toys, mostly animals and Pokémon from when I was a kid. I used to have one of these:

and I had so many in there that it actually dragged the ceiling down before falling out completely. Woops. I never downsized so at my parents house I still have several large bags of them in their loft.
I have a tendency to want to bring back souvenirs from basically anywhere that I don't go on a monthly basis and it's almost always stuffed creatures. So my favourite plushies are ones that I got from/with my fiance.

I got this huge Octorok plush today. He's super soft and basically big enough to use as a pillow.

While unfortunately I no longer have it, I used to have a Red Spycrab plush. I've never seen a cuter case of lung cancer before.

i still have a large polar teddy bear that was the mascot of a really big department store from my country that closed down in the 90s . Its pretty nostalgic. The store used to have a huge inflatable version on their roof that you'd see when going on the freeway, it was like Sears /Macy's, in fact the building was literally a Sears before it got bought by a local bussinesman and just changed branding.

I have a few different aliens including a hand knitted Clanger my mum made for me. This is my ET from a Florida trip aged 8. I have a Figment too, to keep him company. The Clanger has to be kept in a sealed freezer bag because moths were eating her felt hands.

Have 3 wolves and 2 rabbits that I keep the tags on because I like to write when I got them and who gave them to me. They all have a place on my bed shelf/nightstand.

I got two small plushies from my childhood. Mine was not a happy one but the plushies do remind me of the few good times so I am attached to them.

One is Palmon from Digimon that I got in a thrift shop. The other one is a german shepherd that I bought on a ferry to Norway. I call him Terry because I like that name.

They are pretty small, about the size of my hand. They sit on my nightstand.

I got two of those alpacas that everyone rages on about. You know, these types.

Not this color though. Mine are blue and black. I called them Aoba and Kurosawa because I was in the late stages of my weeb phase when I got them. They also sit on my nightstand.

I got a Baymax tsum tsum that cost me quite a bit because I got it directly from a Disney store in Copenhagen. He's sitting on my console table, partly responsible for my game collection standing upright on a shelf.

I'm indifferent to the movie but I do like Baymax.

Finally, I got a smaller Wailord plush from the time I actually gave a shit about the mainline Pokemon games. Due to nostalgia, I have a soft spot for generation 3 so I'll probably get more plushes from the Hoenn region.

It's the other half of keeping my physical games upright.

I plan to get more plushies in the future. I'd like one of those fancy alpacas with a scarf and earmuffs. Preferably in green. And then maybe one of those fat shiba inu plushies with the x butthole.

It's an ugly detail but it's cute in its ugliness.

I guess I have a couple, a gondola, a pillow I won in a UFO machine that's become sad and flat, and a couple others I got as gifts. One of which is just being used to close up a gap beside the bed and the wall. I guess I don't like to keep too much useless stuff around. I like these things but if i'm not looking at it or it's got some level of usefulness I don't really want them. I just don't like to be burdened by things. My male room mate on the other hand has a hoard of anime dolls and stuffed animals, random toys and bullshit but he doesn't even keep them off the floor.

Putting it nicely it's what the kids call "not a good look" for a fairly well of age man.

So I have a large Pikachu I use as a pillow. I need to wash it because it's not covered in tearstains and such (because I'm a crybaby) , but it's the kind that can't go in the wash. Would a washcloth work or?
