My friend gifted me a really nice Shadow the Hedgehog plush when we were in middle school. Then I gave it away when I was older in a misguided I'm-too-old-to-have-these-things-anymore phase, and I regret and miss it every day.

Rate me puzzles, but I have an embarrassing large collection of gaming/"nerd" culture plushies that I lovingly display in my home office on a bookshelf. If someone who didn't know me saw it, it would give off some serious troons vibes. In my defense, this collection started in my early 20s. My younger brother bought me a World of Warcraft plush b/c we played together and he went to a gaming convention where they had some. I made a big deal out of it because I thought it was a really sweet gesture from a teenaged male. It grew from there.

I'm in my 40s now and it's our thing for him to pick one up once a year or so if he sees one based on something I like. I think it's sweet.
