I apologize if there was already a thread, but I wanted to make this to hopefully find fellow writing enthousiasts. I'm currently finally writing my first book and I try to keep it at a high pace. Written 136 pages in the past month or so. I'm gonna drop my daily page writings here (if that's allowed) and how I achieved things or what stopped me. Hopefully some peeps will do the same and we can motivate eachother to keep pushing

I don't think I'd want to read a book that needed motivating by internet people to write. If the muse has striken you, then let it work its magic. If not, make no big deal of it, but don't rape her and force her to bleed and vomit on your pages.

Well, I like talking about writing and I like the internet. There are real people behind it’s screens and they are capable of thought and discussion. It’s not like my neighborhood is filled with aspiring writers either

Eeeeh I don't know about that dude, are we definitely looking at the same internet?

Jokes aside, I've generally found the issue with discussing any hobby online is that a lot of times the most skilled people are the ones who are going to feel the least need to actually seek out discussion of it, because to them it's all old hat. It's just something they do without a lot of fanfare.

Although if you have the patience and the attention span to actually write long form, more power to you. I think my brain has been too cooked by the modern world to tolerate it. I get aggravated and overly concerned about phrasing and word choice just typing out posts.

finished up to page 150, prolly still not half of the book tho, still it's a milestone. i think it's really easy to hate what you write but when I re-read it I actually liked it. Spend most of the time figuring out what history is present in the country and myth and how I can use that as an overal theme. There's this really handy site, coggle, which you can use to create timeline
