It's not uncommon. If an identity-based website starts fostering some ill clique mentality it gets bad fast. One of the first lessons I learned with the site was to keep things open. The only "secret" board we have with content is the Phil board, and even that's barely a secret.

One of the grannies was a poster here too a couple of years back. She got all the power levels. Damn if i can't remember her name right now. Kiwifan or something? The most I remember from her now is she tried using a picture of her raggedy Dodge Durango as her sig pic on both forums.

She also skipped work the day Maureen had her baby so she could read about it on ytt. The same day she posted her medical bill when she delivered her last child.

I remember Kais Pet Rock! She did kinda deserve it. Didn't they find out she was some trailer trash type who alogged Kai because her life was actually worse than the Kween?
 
Yeah, I remember that. She was the one they still brag about doxxing. They have a thread called outed grannies or something, that's where her info is.

I don't know if that's their greatest achievement in doxxing or they do it on the regular but they sure like to use that one chick as a warning as to what may happen when somebody starts with the powerleveling.
 
The AprilAthena7 thread is particularly cringey right now, if anyone is interested. There's the "I hate babies" front, and then there's... this... the powerlevels are tangible as April prepares to spew forth her second spawnling and YTT is rabidly slavering over the tidbits the family drops as they document the process.

If you want to truly experience autism on YTT, check out the ThiftThick thread. At one point users were posting selfies of themselves, to show how much better they look in glasses compared to ThiftThick.

A-logging is wishing death/torture on a cow. Powerlevelling is what you are describing here - posting an abundance of personal information.

In one of the Tinychats we used when YTT was down, one of the girls decided it was a good idea to stream herself while at work because she was bored. Everyone was SHOCKED when someone figured out where she was and called her boss and reported her.
