Does Brandon not have health insurance? By the time I turned 26, I'd picked out a plan and signed up the instant I could. Getting insurance was my top priority. Unfortunately, we live in a world where healthcare is driven by profit rather than accessibility. Health insurance is both the reason prices are so stupidly high and the only protection you have against financial ruin in the event of a serious medical emergency.

What I'm getting at is that I just can't imagine how he could possibly be doing so bad financially that he needed the 75k(original goal) to be able to keep going and "pay the bills". Not to mention that you would think that a big youtuber like that had some decent health insurance that would cover most of his bills.

The equipment won't be on 24/7. It's not a rare occurrence, especially in a prolonged stay like I assume is what Brandon's situation is. How do I know this? My fiancé is also suffering organ failure and was hospitalized for 2 weeks recently. I spent a lot of time in the hospital and I noticed a lot of the time certain monitors or equipment aren't being used all the time and were usually unplugged when they weren't being used. There isn't a constant beeping like in the TV shows or movies.

That being said, I have a suspicion this is some sort of publicity stunt/rage bait. Keep in mind Parry struggles to break 500 views on a video and is now receiving insane amounts of attention from large creators and the internet as a whole. Although it's extremely retarded and reputation ruining, in some delusional way, Parry probably thinks he will benefit from this.

He used to be a drug user so he might be a bit more run down health wise already, that can make whatever he caught way worse.

All of his content is him going into dangerous places, and getting shot at, and recently that includes a lot more third world countries.


The area he went to has some of the highest TB rates in Mexico, and drug resistant at that. TB can incubate for a few weeks up to 2 years, so catching it in September in Mexico and then being affected by it a few months later in November totally tracks. This is probably what happened.

But… here’s my schizo theory.

His most recent trip was to Lebanon, where he interviewed and gave supplies to a bunch of homeless children from Palestine and Syria. He specifically criticizes Israel for causing it throughout. He’s been to Lebanon before to cover Israeli bombings there, mentioning journalists and civilians being targeted and Israel bombing the small town he visited right after he left. I believe the family that showed him around also died. And his cameraman’s house got bombed recently.
