Well so far Augie has put together a rather longer than necessary case that Flam is morally flexible in the way Ralph is, and will say whatever he needs to say in the hopes he can get what he wants.
Also that he has a bizarre compulsion to humiliate himself in debates he can't possibly win (at least with Flams combo of intellect and argumentative skill).
As an aside, I had noticed that aspect of things and it's making me wonder if Flamenco has a humiliation fetish of some sort, because there is bad arguments, there is bad sets of facts, and then there is the amazing whirlpool synergy Flamenco somehow achieves using both where he makes his defense in these debates significantly worse than the sum of those parts could ever hope to achieve, and I routinely have no idea how he manages it without being either a) way stupider than he comes across, or b) intentionally torpedoing himself.
I don't know if these conclusions required a 17 page document but here we are.

) . The same situation with Tipster and John Swan. I think these examples show that augie’s loyalty to his friends are flimsy and used as a means of self preservation. Rather than disavow when he expresses that, he lets Deorio and others do the dirty work for him until it’s an easy target in which case he’ll fire up a stream that contradicts himself and his past attitude to his supposed friends. The title stealing is just uncreative.
