I went back and rewatched Nerd City's videos and they aren't good in retrospect. They are light on argument but high on production value. NC should have been a video editor and left the commentating to someone else. It's the equivalent to writing a well written thread OP that communicates very little. What's the point of the dazzle if you're just spinning your wheels?

His Lele Pons video is particularly retarded in retrospect. The video amounted to, "Lele Pons uses her sex appeal to market her brand. This makes her a sex offender." NC then spent the majority of a 50 minute video taking an (at the time) 3 year old YouTube skit video out of context. Ignoring the fact that his friends in the drama sphere had made far more gratuitous videos for their mixed age group audiences.

I mean, he only ever regretted not asking the age of the minor he was ERP'ing (just ignore the fact that, even after he learned the minor had turned 16, he kept on roleplaying with them).

Ever since he was outed for being a furry, he's been pretty open about it and even played into it on stream. And his fanbase are just as degenerate as him and constantly make inflation jokes or ask him to dress up in women's clothing again.

It's crazy how all of this guy's pedophilia got swept under the rug. I still remember when "14 year old French girl" was a meme among a small group of people who really hated him but liked Leafy. To this day if you bring it up on reddit and twitter his troon fans will repeat "It's been DEBOOOOONKED!!!11!!1!".

And like 50% of commentary people only like him because he has a good voice for videos. He made good shit but what has he done in the last 4 years? Make a video taking Jaystation seriously? You cannot make me care about this guy. "He pretended his girlfriend died and used it for views! He uses dead ppl for views!11!!1" We're being serious about Jay "kermit drinks the gay potion from the dark web" Station? Really? I never watched the video bc I can't stand Nerd City but I saw Nerd's segment where he tries to act like Jaystation doing videos about selling his soul to Satan is real and posing a serious threat to children and that told me all I needed to know.

ColossalisCrazy, right? I used to be a fan in like 2017, but I have no idea why he's considered a legend by this community. I guess living under the totalitarian regime of susan wojcicki made even the slightest egdy people look like brave heroes. Covering up for pyrocynical is really obviously very pathetic.

He made good commentary videos and exposed Lionmaker. And he's loyal to a fault. That's about it.

He's been eclipsed by several more talented (and regularly uploading) commentators since then, but people fond for the 2015/16 days still hold him up on a pedestal by that reputation. I guarantee, if he actually uploaded regularly, people wouldn't suck his dick as much, and he'd become just another commentator like the rest of them.

I also think The Baited Podcast has a lot to do with it as well. When put up against Keemstar he seemed like a golden boy who could do nothing wrong.

The craziest part about this is not a single youtuber even asked Colossal WHY they never addressed it. They all sort of just quietly accepted it and moved on. An amazing video wasted because people so are scared to push a topic.

Actually, a YouTuber named Toastify (who made a video on the 14-year-old French girl and her later abuse at the hands of AncientReality, the MLG montage parody guy who was once friends with Pyro) apparently did bring it up to Colossal in the comments of a stream or something, but Colossal pretty much denied that any sweeping was going on and told him that it was up to Pyro to speak on it if he wanted to or not.
